"EVEN IF YOU WERE DEAD" .....

Our school district here has lovingly been coined the "Even If You Were Dead" school district .... so I was totally shocked today when I woke up to find that we we're not only  buried in 6+ inches of snow, but they had actually  cancelled  yet ANOTHER day of school this year ! That has NEVER happened. Maybe a change of heart ?? Yarrr, I doubt it, they are dumb that way, I can guarantee to you that my kids will be told they will have to make the day up !!  Given the Christmas schedule they have again  this year, I will be suprised if they don't say to GO on Christmas. Sheesh. Yeaaa, Even if you were dead ... they would expect you to be there.

So looks like my house will have everyone home today. I am kinda glad ... I have secretly been waiting for break to start so they can stay home with me ! :O)

My neighbors are all out snowblowing, I guess I am the only one looking like a tard, we have  the ancient contraption known as the shovel !!!  Jordan does this usually though, for which I am truly thankful. :O)

I am going to make a calendar till spring today and I am weirdly excited about Valentines day this next year. Maybe because that means this Holiday garb will finally be over and spring will not be too far off !!!

Hannah had a school program last night, it was ok. I usually don't go to them, I hate  being out amoungst people.

So, anyway - for right now, I think I will lie back down, enjoy the quiet and start my day later with some laundry and cleaning. I know it sounds odd, but I can actually get more cleaned when the kids are home !

HOPE YA'LL HAVE A GREAT DAY !!!!

  2. I can't wait for spring either.... but with the way our weather has been, it's been practically spring here anyway. But I hate this kind of weather because it will be 70 degrees all week but then one day it will randomly be 20 degrees! I always get reeeally sick when the weather can't decide!

  3. Our school district is almost exactly opposite...they delay at the first sign of snow...then close if it actually comes...lol. I get more done when the older kids are home but when the twins and the 5 yr olds are here I can't seem to get anything done...BTW we still shovel too, so you are not the only one...lol

  13. Snowblowers don't work on the ice crap we got here. There must be an inch thick of ice covered by snow. I say a good old fashioned shovel is good exercise!

  18. Oh yeah on everyone being able to stay home but ugh on the Snow!!! We are getting way to much! I went out and it was scary. Couldn't even see and wishing I hadn't. I needed to run to the bank and then get that dish soap and diapers!! If it wasn't for the need to get money in the bank then I could of just stayed home! But I made it but sure is scary with the white outs!! I hope you'll enjoy your day today and stay warm!!! I just went out and measured and it's 10 inches already. Oh I have a Valentines bowling party I am doing in Feb. I hope you'll have a great weekend! Hugs
