1) In the last 24 hours Gracie has ripped off the letters X,C,M,N, spacebar and alt. I got all back on and working but N. I have to push it extra hard to make it work ! Grrr, dang kids. I swear litterally ONE second is all it takes and she's fast !
2) I am trying to be more positive today, sorta. I am still NOT in any sort of a holiday mood ! STILL not one lick of shopping has been done, (usually that is what gets me in the holiday spirit) and no tree is up. So yea, there in lies my problem. SURE ! Makes me SOOO, VERRRRY excited for Christmas morning when my kids get to come down the stairs and actually see that I am not lying, there will NOT be ONE thing under the tree. (They think were joking.)
3) Adam says we might get a ham though. A ham. Yes... just what I wanted... a ham. YAYY !
4) Think I decided I won't be going to see my Mom. I would feel too guilty for spending that money when the kids don't get a Christmas. Besides, if I put off the bills, it will just cause a snowball effect and then I will have too many to pay and no money all at one time, so while I really would like to, I just can't.
5) So anyway, the sun is actually shining here for a bit of time today. It is SO nice ! but we should be getting some bits of snow later. Yuk ! I am ready for spring ! How about you ? Spring - usually late spring and summer are my absolute fave times of the year !!! I need to move somewhere warm ! (Shut up Tonya !) LOL :O( Grrrrr !
6) Jordan wanted to stay home today, but I said no. He wanted to help me by watching the kids and so I could get things done. It was such a nice offer, but I see he has been doing so much better in school this quarter, so I don't want him losing any ground or getting behind on any homework.
7) Even still what I am going to say next makes no sence then, but ... MY kids have school next week, the 22nd and 23rd .. then they have off the 24th, the 25th and 26th. THEN they have to be back in school the 29th and 30th and have off the 31st, 1st and 2nd. Going back full time on the 5th. WHAT IS THE POINT ?! NO other school anywhere does this and it is nonsence !! I told my kids they are staying home !! So ... MY vacation starts the 22nd till the 5th ! DANG it ! - How stupid ! Am I an oddball in that I usually actually like when the kids are home ? I am so glad I won't have to deal with this next year ! Whew ! .... Even yet, I don't even know why the school does this every year and why no one complains !
8) Gracie was up all night coughing - poor thing, I just held her most the time and she slept ok, but I didn't. I think I will prolly be taking a nap later. lol.
9) I haven't been coughing much today though, that is a good sign. :O) But now I feel bad if I gave it to her. :O(
10) Well, that's all I got for today. I am hungry and Cam and Gracie have torn apart the living room. lol. Hope ya'll have a great day !

That is so weird, my kids are off the 24th then go back the 5th. Why would they not just let them have their "wnter break".
I'm sorry you wont be able to go see your mom but you are making the best choice there I think....
Try to keep your head up! Sorry Gracie is sick now. Maybe you can ask your mom to come visit you guys?
ReplyDeleteThat's nuts! I have never heard of them doing that on Christmas. Since I was a kid..and heck..even before that..when my sisters were kids..I think we've always had off two weeks for Xmas. Crazy! I just found out we'll be having ham for xmas dinner at my mom's..joy..lol! It's ok I like it enough to eat it..I'm just not OOOooh Ham! LOL!

All the breaks around start this Friday and go until the 5th. I am sorry your not going to see your mom and everyone was telling you to go for it but I was thinking what you were thinking about snowball effect. I completely understand how you feel about the bills and going to see your mom. Everything wil jsut be waiting for you when you get back and it will be harder to catch up on..then on the other hand, it would be great to be able to get away i'm sure! I still think I would go if I were you!
Our weather is COLD right now and we have a Winter Ice Warning. The doppler is FULL of pink (ice) coming straight at us.
I have never heard of the way your school system there works. My kids last day is tomorrow and they go back to school after the New Year. I think the 4th or 5th..I'm not sure. If we get the ice storm thogh, they'll be happy to be done now!LOL

ReplyDeleteHave you checked in with your local churches? I know the ones by us adopt families for Christmas and they collect gifts for the kids and bring canned goods and stuff for a holiday dinner. Then they bring it to your door.

I LOVE it when the kids are home and don't have school. Well, guess it's just David now but I'm use to saying kids. lol
I think that schools crazy.Our schools are closed for 2 weeks here.I know how little ones and computers are.You don't know how many times my grandkids deleted files and crashed my computer.I now leave it off when there here.I have no idea why I live in NY and not in a warm place.I hate the cold and snow.It would be nice to see you'r mom.I think a mom understands what you'r going through and you would feel comfort!
