Hello all, I just wanted to stop in real quick and send out a hello to ya'll !
It has been really chaotic and busy around here, so I have not had a whole lot of time to stop in. I am way behind on reading blogs and commenting.
I am sort of down too and haven't felt much like being here also due to the fact that I heard that an old friend that I used to have here said I lied about something that I did not, therefore making people upset with me. Ahhh, yes, I don't know why, but the stupid drama always finds me. SIGH ...
Mothers day was OK ... I got a nice suprise - which I will show ya'll in some pictures - when I get the chance. Other that that, it has just been super crazy and busy around here. With Spring having finally sprung, I have been spending alot of time outdoors and stuff, doing yard work - gardening - taking walks ... it is so nice to finally have some color and spring back !
Homeschool is going really well, finally am sticking to some sort of a schedule and getting so much accomplished. The year is winding down though and that is good, as I find it will be nice to get that break already. Not from my kids, just from the routine. I still hate a daily change/ routine, so it is hard to get used to. lol.
Today we are going to a kitty shelter in the next town over called Tabby Town to help with the cats and kittens that they have. I thought it would be good for the kids to learn about helping others and volunteering. Learning can be done on so many levels and not just through books. It is good to see the girls adjusting also.
Well, I had better get moving ... it is hard to stay on task if I sit here so much. I do plan to catch up and comment soon, I miss you all and hope you are all well. :O)
TAMMIE
I am glad that you had a nice Mothers Day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great lesson for the girls!
Enjoy Spring!
That's a good idea to have them volunteer:)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your surprise!!
ReplyDeleteKeep busy and have a great day!
Glad to hear you're doing well + homeschooling is still going good. I wanted my son + I to help out at a local shelter + they don't let anyone under 18. What a stupid rule. Especially if the parent is there with them. Glad your shelter is letting you. What a nice learning experience for everyone. Have a great week!
ReplyDeletethe volunteering at the shelter is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see a blog from you! I've been pretty busy myself..it seems like I only get maybe one or two blogs in a week now. I remember when I used to blog about every day! LOL
Don't let the old drama get you down. You know the truth, and that's what's important. Whatever it's about! :(
Glad that homeschooling is going good Tammie! Sorry about the drama you have had recently:-(
ReplyDeleteI agree!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you!
Don't sweat the small stuff - the drama. It's not worth it in the long run anyway.
ReplyDeleteI am so looking forward to school ending as well for the summer. I love spending quality time with the kids and not just supervising homework all the time or running to all the activities. LOL
Have a wonderful day.
Keep focusing on the positive! Don't let the drama get you down. We've been out enjoying spring as well. Volunteering is a great way to enrich your home school. Have you heard of H.E.A.R.T.S.- "Homeschoolers Educating And Reaching out Through Service"? If you don't have a HEARTS group nearby, you can still do the monthly suggested service projects on your own with your family.
ReplyDeleteHey girl! Glad you had a nice Mother's Day! Can't wait to see your surprise! Spring has Sprung here also..we've been working out in the yard alot too..planting flowers..and I also planted some Tomato Plants. That's a neat idea to take the kids to the shelter to volunteer. Have fun! ttyl Hugz! Tammy (P.S. Don't forget the All-Star Race this weekend! Whoo-hoo!)
