CRAZY DAZE ...

Wow, well it is just crazy around here. I haven't had much time to keep up and am wondering whether or not I even should. Geezee, where did all these things to do, come from anyway ? LOL.

So tommorrow is my first homeschool meeting, I am so nervous, but they all seem really nice and I can't wait to go. The one gal already emailed me and told me I better bring a suitcase or box because there is tons of things I can go home with. YIKES ! A good thing I guess, but I still find myself a tad overwhelmed. Another gal phoned me and she was so friendly, looks like I will have some friends already.. funny, as I have lived here for 4 years and haven't found many yet. Hmmmm. Guess they were all hiding ! LOL. Anyway, they have like tons of field trips and things they do, co-ops for the science labs and, classes for the kids to attend, all on a Christian Basis too. I simply just had no idea.

Jordan, my son - whom we weren't going to homeschool has expressed an interest in it anyway, so that is now something we are discussing. He says he just can't stand being at school anymore - they are so negative and kids curse, too much and act like "gangsters" .. he is sooo funny though .. he went and bought himself some Jesus shirts to wear and he says he goes through the hall telling everyone that Jesus loves them !

Gosh, as crazy and choatic as this has all made my life the last few weeks, I sure regret not doing this long ago !

Another thing about Jordan is that Friday he asked me to borrow 50 dollars - or a bit more - he wanted to buy Tiffany a "ring"... if you know what I mean. I told him that I thought it was something that should wait a bit longer and that he should ask her parents first. He said he was afraid because her parents are really strict and Tiffany has already threatened to leave home after her early graduation next spring .... SIGH .... this is going wayyyyyy too fast,  how is it possible that his turning 18 is just a few months from now ? It really makes me waant to cry. He has ONE year of school left, wants to marry his elementary love and is thinking about joining the Army ...  HE is too young, this is too weird, where the hec did all the time go ??? He is still my little boy !!

Soooo, anyway, besides that - we went back to the LaCrosse Childrens Meuseum yesterday. It was Teddy Bear day and free admission from 10 - 2. Adam finally got to go. So, of course knowing how much my little guy Cameron loves his Teddy Bear we jumped at the chance to take him. He had such a good time and so did Teddy. I have a few pix to load up of that if I get the chance ...

Today the girls are cleaning the upstairs, the guys and I, are watching the race and then I have laundry to do ...  I also have to go on eBay and look for a few things too, it is kinda fun browsing, but I really dislike eBay though.

Well, that is all for today, I guess I have blabbed enough. Have a great day everyone !!!

  3. I'm so glad you are finding some friendly people connected to the homeschooling. It would be awesome if you found some good friends up there. It sure would make those long winters more bearable! :)~

I'm sure letting Jordan grow up is probably one of the hardest things ever! He's your BABY! LOL I can't even imagine when Trevor gets to that age! Sigh. I can imagine the mixed feelings!

  5. My computer keeps crashing every time I try and post a comment..let me try this again..LOL.

The homeschooling idea sounds exciting and it also sounds like you have a great opportunity to meet new friends! A win win situation! My daughter started dating her boyfriend when she was 18, she is now 20 and they talk often of getting married. Thank goodness they both want to finish college before they take that step. I know what you mean about them growing up so fast. Where does the time go? It seems like they were just infants.
