It's up, he's back and other nonsence ...

Hello everybody ... I think I may actually have a second to sit and type something - so here I am. :o) It has been a rough going couple of days ... Gracie just does not want to sleep. For the last two days she wants to stay awake during the day and the night ... ok, basically whenever I want to lie down. ... which means I have gotten very little sleep - which means I get very little done around here - which means it drives me crazy ! lol ... but I know it don't last forever, so you just putter through it. :O)

Well, like I said - it is now noon and I just woke up, Gracie is still sleeping and Cameron is watching cartoons. I have tons to do today - but I feel so groggy that I really don't know that I will acomplish much again and I hate that. Never to fear though - I FINALLY got the tree up on Sunday !!!! WOO - HOO for me. I feel pretty pathetic that it took me so long and that I only had a week left before the holiday - but hey - it's up. Appearantly lately that is alot to be thankful for ! ha ha ha. Anyway that photo I put up today is of our tree last year (Christmas morning) my stupid camera is being dumb and not loading my photos today - I don't know what the issue is - so I wanted to show you what it looked like. Our tree this year is the same so no biggie. I had taken some pictures of my fave ornaments - so when I can get the cam working, I will put those up. Amazingly, I am still not in a very holiday-ish mood. I guess having no money will do that, it isn't much fun when you really can't shop for anything.

On another ODD note .... yesterday we had a weird occurance happen here. It was after noon sometime, I had gotten up late again, got a few things done and when Gracie woke up - I went into the kitchen to make her a bottle. Looking out the kitchen window, I see this black colored thing in the mounds of white snow outside .... I was like " WHAT the hec is that "? ....... it moved, but only very little. It was a bit off in the distance so I couldn't see clearly what it was - perhaps it was the neighbors stupid yap yap dog .... or it was another barn dwelling creature. I dunno - but something made me want to go take a closer look, so I walked out to the garage and looked closer at the silhouette ... and GUESS WHAT ..... OMG .... it was SMOKEY BONES !!!!!!!!! Our cat. ?????? WHERE the hec has he been ? Oh my goodness - he has been missing near 3 weeks and we thought for certain that he wasn't going to make it back. The temps outside have dipped down to -4 even ... but sure as sure - there he was !!!!

So I called out to him, he noticed me and started to run toward me, I, in my slippers - ran to him and immeadiately picked him up and brought him in .... He was so cold and skinny. Oh my goodness, I can't believe that he's back - where did he go ???? I would love to know that. Anyway - after I brought him in, he stayed in the basement till Adam got home and gave him a bath (just in case) and he's been resting ever since. He is soooooooo very skinny ! Omg - I am not kidding - he is literally all bones and fur. I feel so bad there is nothing to him now. I mean he was never extra plump or anything, but my goodness it is awful, you can feel every bone. He's been eating okay though, but I still think a trip to the vet will have to be had. Can you believe that ?

Well, other than that not alot has been going on here. I don't have much else to do other than my daily stuff everyday - but when you get no sleep - even that can be hard. It is a miracle that I have been keeping up with the laundry and all - but the rest of the house looks kinda sloppy. You all know that has gotta end soon, or I will have to go to the funny farm. :O) I went grocery shopping last night and picked up some cookie dough, so maybe if I get motivated today I can throw it into the oven ... ha ha ha - I am not a baker - although I wish I was, so the pre-packaged stuff will have to do. I just hate cooking, and I don't know why. Anyway - I think the kids will like it. Atleast it is something.

Well Gracie is stirring now and she needs a bath - Cameron is howling for lunch ... oh sorrrry - a "nack" (snack) as he's saying ... and so I guess I am going to go ... have a great day everyone ! I hope to blog again soon.
