Ahhh, finally a chance to sit and blog ! I have been so busy that there hasn't been any time it seems to do much. Happy Halloween to all my friends here first of all, I hope that your day goes well !!!!
I finally got my butt in gear last night and went tout to our storage locker and dug out the kids Halloween costumes from previous years. We didn't have much money to buy anything this year so we decided to just make due with some old stuff that we had and throw together what we could. Besides with all of us being so busy, it seems that the only one excited about the whole Halloween thing this year is my daughter Hannah, but that is usual for her. As soon as the kids get home off the bus today we will be getting ready for trick or treating. It is from 5 - 7 this evening and we go to the family housing area (military) to do our candy hunting. The weather men said all week how cold and rainy they expected it to be, but for golly it ACTUALLY isn't ...... yet - anyway ! Yesterday was soo warm I spent most of the day outside cleaning up and putting things away for winter and getting things prepared. You now packing up the kids toys and yard decorations, cleaning out the garage - etc..... Stuff I should have done a few weeks ago, just put off doing, so thank goodness for a warm day. Today it is chillier, but not raining, so the kids will be happy, well, atleast Hannah will. I don't think Cameron really remembers Halloween too much, but I think he'll like it all the same as Hannah ! I know that I, myself would go trick or treating if I had a costume .... hec, free candy - are you kidding me ! I'd pass, I am shorter than myy 16 year old .... But I have no costume and not enough nerve, so my daughter says she'd share some candy with me. Thank is good, I like candy, just only the certain kinds and not so much the chocolate - so they like that !
Geeze, I remember being so excited about Halloween, although I usually went alone when I was younger and my parents never bought costumes, so I had to try to always make my own with whatever was around the garage at the time. I remember coming home from school and going trick or treating from that time till it was almost time for bed .... people would make it all over, up and down and we'd have actual pillowcases of goodies ..... hec. last year my gang barely got even a shopping bag of stuff and were so disappointed.
Tonight after Trick Or Treating we'll go to Pizza Hut .... something we do every year together and since they don't have school tommorrow we got the movie "Meet the Robinson's" to sit and watch afterward while we snack on the goodies !!! They always like that part, and even Hannah asked several times if we were doing our usual this year.
TOMMORROW, I have the PUBS test to go to at the MAYO clinic. To me spookier than Halloween ..... I am clearly petrified ! I do not really want to go. My hubby took the day off so I know it is going to happen, but I wish it wouldn't. For those of you who don't know, it is a test - which I have already rescheduled twice - in which they have to test the platelette levels in the baby's blood, so they take a big huge long needle and stick it into the umbilical cord. It is sort of like an amniosentesis, but different and a bit more riskier. I do not like big, huge, long needles .... I do not like that they told me that it could cause problems/ complications ..... that scares me. I am soooooo nervous here today I can't get my act together to do anything and the things I have done today aren't going well. I can't think straight and am shaking. I don't like doctors, or hospitals much .... can you tell ? I only like MY doctor ..... I so wish he was going to be there. OM goodness, I am so worried. My stomach is in knots and it feels like it wants to barf right now - although I am sure you all did not want to know that. I wish my mind would wander onto other things, but it just keeps focusing on it.
Well, anyway in anticipation that something did go wrong, we have been working quite diligently on everything in the house to get it done. ONLY a few small things remain and I still have to clean. I have put off cleaning because it is near impossible to have kept up with all the drywall dust and stuff going in and out - but now that it near done, I think I may be able to get to it, tonight would be nice, ugh - cept' it is Halloween. I sincerely doubt that I will sleep later tonight, so maybe then will be a good time.
Yesterday my daugher; Brittany came home and told us that Taco Bell was having free taco's nationwide from 2-5 pm. ((I am supposing because Boston won the world series. (we watched the first 3 games - don't that figure.) .... and we don't usually watch ANY sports except Nascar.) So... we went to Taco Bell and all had a free taco ..... that was nice. I also had some free ice cream coupons from a local place here called Culver's ..... so we hopped on right across the parking lot and enjoyed that too ...... hmmmm, for some odd reason really good when it is free ! :O) lol !
Well, I have tons of pictures to post and after this evening when the kids have thier costumes on I will have more, so hopefully I will have the time in the next few days to post them all. I would do it now, but I am sorry I am just not much in the mood for it ..... If I have the chance tommorrow I will be back here to let you all know how things went and how Halloween was here - so take care till then !
