Well it has been quite a stormy evening here ... day started out pretty nice, a little sunny - a little cloudy and just perfect, so Cameron and I ate breakfast then went outside to finish my work on the low voltage lights I put in around our deck - then just as I finished putting together and installing the last one, it started to rain and rain it has all afternoon into the night. I must say I don't at all mind, I love being outside, but this is our first realllly good storm this year and I just love storms. Sure, it has rained and such ... but not really thunderstormed too much here yet. I do not kow why I just love the pitter patter of rain on the roof when I relax or when I lie down at night. It is so calming to me, much like the sound of the highway that we have nearby and can hear out our windows.
As for the rest of my day, Cam and I ended up taking a nap in the afternoon (guess I got too calmed - lol ) and then when everyone got home I had a few running things to do and had to pick Brittany up from Dance class. This weekend is her recital performance for Tap and Ballet, she was also asked to perform in a third number - but she says it is a suprise for us. I know she will do well, this is her 10th year in dance. After that, Adam was kind enough to agree with me that we all wanted to eat McDonald's again...lol. I know, I know.... eating out is something we are sooooo bad at ! Anyway ... I also had to stop off at Wally-Mart to get a few groceries I had forgotten to grab, I wish Wally's wasn't the only store in town here, but everything else is in LaCrosse - which is a 50 minute drive from us and since gas prices are so high right now - that trip will not be taken any time soon.
Upon our getting home and getting into the house - finally getting things quiet, a sherriff comes knocking at my door - now of course this scared the you know what out of me - but alas - he was only looking for a neighbor (an older man) who has not been home in a few days. I don't know much of the neighbors here, most houses are quite far apart here and all are farms on our road. (ours used to be) Now we think this is the same guy who just was in the process of losing his farm and was forced to have an auction of all of his farm equiptment etc., but we don't know for sure. I sure hope that all is ok though, I know it is hard and unfair they way people opperate anymore, no one cares about anyone ... most just care about money. On another note of similar cercumstance my husband has been in a mood all evening because milk prices went way up and it cost 77.80 to fill our tank with gas and says he will not fill up or mow our grass again till the price goes down ....since that is not a bother to me, I mentioned that I also had noticed that no one around here has mowed all this week or last - now this is quite odd because we have one neighbor that mowed everything in sight literally every two days for awhile - so we call him obsessed with it, but now I guess people are just getting tired of it. I wish someone would do something, this is rediculous !
Well, all I have to do some laundry b4 getting ready for bed and if I am lucky and Cameron goes to sleep on time - I might get to squeeze in a shower too ! Yipppppeeee ! :o) LOL !
I' ll write again soon, take care all ! God Bless ! TAMMIE
