SOME WORDS FROM ME ...

Yep, another day of freezing snowy, slushy goo....what fun ! Ewwwwww ! How I hate it....so in the meantime, I will just pretend in my head that it is nice out or that I am on the beach...ha ha ha ! That won't last long though, I have to go out and do errands today like go to my doctor's appointment and mail some things and go to the store. My daughter Brittany has Ballet and Tap classes today and recital pictures immediately afterward, which will be fun, I'm sure... I've been through this 10 years now with her, so it is routine anymore. We've decided to have Hannah take piano lessons since she can't do alot because of her foot problems, so I have to go talk so someone at church about that today also. I think that she'll really like that alot and I would much rather her do something, rather than nothing. I don't agree with kids using computers or TV for entertainment while they can be using thier brains instead. Our kids know they are not allowed to use the computer or TV unless we feel necessary and even so are only allowed one hour a day of either. I know we are strict, but we don't care. There are wayyyyyyyyy tooooooo many things on TV that they DO NOT need to be seeing, so many sensual ads or negative things, so we'd just rather not let them see it. Same with the computer, so that is monitored as well. As a parent, it is our jobs to see that we raise our children properly....years down the road we will have no one else to blame for it other than our selves if they have not turned out as we'd of liked them to.

Deuteronomy 11:19-21 says " And ye shall teach then your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, andwhen thouwalkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house. and upon thine gates: That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children."

So.......Who's responsibility is it to to educate our children? Technically we can say that two institutions have a responsibility; the home and the state. Before someone objects to that statement, please wait to weigh the facts. Unfortunately there is in our day two polar opposite veiws where neither one see the existance of the other. One veiw never sees the states place; while the other minimizes, placates, or eliminates the home.

The state has a need to see a competently educated citizenry. The very existance of our future depends upon it. The home also has a need for an educated child. A Godly child will inthier adult years become leaders in thier church, community, and civil government. In fact, only a child only a biblically trained mindcan truly understand the American form of Constitutional government. It is a government based upon the biblical/ christian framework. Our economy is based upon individual rights which are faith based concepts, as opposed to collective notions.

In fact, subjects such as world history or American history cannot be accurate without a Christian influence. Unfortunately our children's texts have all but eliminated or minimized this truth. True knowledge comes from God and his creation. Without a stron Bible-centered connection or presence in education, our children will only get partial information void of understanding or wisdom. This makes a people void of truth, weakened foundations, and primed for spiritual and intellectual captivity.

So then, what is our answer or hope ? While I would love to tell everyone to either home school or place thier children in a Christian scool, the answer is fundamentally foundational. The answer MUST lie in the home. The home is where parents are deeply involved in the Godly training of thier children. This will especially be even more critical if your child goes to a state school. They will DAILY need to be DEPROGRAMMED from all the social experiments or pseudo sciences. They will also need to be reprogrammed with the bible and good Christian materials. Children, for the most part are still loyal to thier homes. Mere "devotions" won't cut it !

Parents, there is a war being waged for the mind and souls of our children. We cannot afford to lose this one or sit idly by on the sidelines !

Well that I have stirred your minds up to conjure some vast illusion of what you too can do in your home, I will let you go so that I may finish out my work for the day and do my errands. I am sure that I will be back soon to splatter more thoughts of mine across these pages, so take care all and God Bless !

TAMMIE :)
