Ummmmkay. Blog what ?! I am having one of those writer block kinda days. I came here thinking I might have something to say - thought about it - and still NADA.
Strange, seeing as though I usually can always find something to say. :O)
I am thinking about beginning our scheduling for the school year in the next few days. I don't mean the actual school work, just getting ready to get back to a schedule for it. It always seems to take us time to get adjusted, like we're on "Ewert" time or something.
Hmmm .. I am thinking about going camping one more time before summer is over ... I thought the kids might like to go with me to the Laura Ingalls Wilder homesites. They stretch from Pepin, Wisconsin (which is near to me) all the way through Minnesota - to De Smet, South Dakota. I have been there long ago, but not recently and would like to go back. I think incorporating reading the books for the kids would be nice for our schooling too.
If we don't go there, I was thinking about going to the Creation Museum in Ohio. I have wanted to check it out for awhile now. Anyone ever been there ?
I decided to go ahead with the state picture collage of the kids and use it as part of our map learning for schooling too. I think the kids would like that. Now I just have to decide just HOW I want to do it.
That reminds me, above is a picture of the license plates hanging in my garage that I have collected. (Arizona, Utah, California, Colorado, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.) Only thing I collect really. I would like to get one from every state we've been to, but only have these so far. We've been to 38 states throughout the years, so I got a lot to go.
I noticed last night it is getting darker earlier now - SIGH - It was a little after 8. I like it to get dark a bit before 9:30 myself. I hate the thought of winter coming. I really do.
Golly, I sure got a lot of bills this payday to pay ... what the hec.
Oh well, I guess that is all I can think of for now ... got to put the laundry in the dryer, then eat some Ramen noodles for lunch. (HAHAHA, Kat - thanx)

How do you get the license plates? Were these states you lived in? Just wondering.
ReplyDeleteAdding in the Little House books sounds like fun along with the camping. I never read them but used to watch the show.
I've heard of the Creation museum but never been there.
