WITHOUT A GLITCH ...

Today I have just had like no time to do a whole lot. The kids were still home getting over the Strep and since today was payday, Adam; who still don't feel good brought me the van around noon. I had some errands to run and bills to pay .... it seemed to take what was left of my day up. Geesh, I hate days like that - when there seems like there is no time for anything.

Anyway - - - at around 3, I got the mail and recieved a letter from; Charter - our internet company that said because of our credit rating, they were now going to be restricting my internet use. I was like .... ARE YOU KIDDING ME  ?!?!?!? Meaning that I could only be on the internet so many hours a day - but get this ... the BILL ... HAHA ... would be costing ME MORE !!!! ... Needless to say, Adam saw the letter and went out the door with it in hand right over to thier office in town and told them to shove thier service up thier @%^ ... you know what. I totally agree .. my word ! What the flip flop ?? ... What is wrong with people. ?!?!?

Soooooo, anyways .. Adam came back to get me and since we paid off our Alltel bill a few days ago, we went and got our cell phone service back on with them .. I got rid of my "smart phone" with internet and all that buisness - and got me a Razor .. AND .. we also got internet from them. (a wireless stick thingy) What gets me - is that even with all of that ... it IS STILL cheaper than what Charter was charging us ! Thankfully that change went through and it is being utalized already - without any glitch in service - and Charter can go bye bye ... dang dopey idiots ! Geeeesh !

We also decided today that turning off Dish or atleast cutting the package down to a bare minumun would be best. I mean it is all junk so much any more anyway. I am so tired of the inapropriateness of the commercials and such, it isn't even worth turning it on anymore. My kids aren't allowed to watch the TV and there are just very few shows worth watching and rarely movies on that we veiw .. so no point in paying for that.

Another thing I wanted to mention was that Brittany told me about conferences tonight, I thought I still had a week, but I had my dates wrong. So we went and I wanted to about slug Mrs. R in the mouth .. but kept my cool ... breathe - breathe ... HAHAHA ... She kept yacking about how Brittany should do better in her class because "In todays world you have to have a REAL full time job and can't stay home all the time" ... reality has to be real here ... or so she said .. SO UMMMMMMM - EXCUSE ME ... I STAY HOME, what am I ? Chopped up ladybugs or something ??! OOOOh... k,, grrrr, I soooo wanted to say something to her, but be proud people .. I actually kept my mouth shut !! HOWEVER ... I am having a talk with the guidance counselor about all of this at the school with Brittany there ..  in the next week, so my voice will get heard !!! HA !

So, anywho - from what Brittany tells me this, Mrs. R chick,  just had a little girl some months back, maybe she is a bit younger than Gracie and she goes on and on about her all the time ... so I am thinking she is resentful in some way about not CHOOSING to stay home with her kid ... so she always talks about how you HAVE to go to work, pay bills and all that jazz ... I mean it is just my guess .. but either way even if I was not right in any way .. I just feel she has NO place - what so ever trying to tell my kid how things in life are "supposed" to be, or how she "should choose to live her life. Thus, why we are choosing to homeschool. Duh ....

ANYWAY ... GAH. I told all of thier teachers we are homeschooling most likely before the year is through, I had some applaud me and like 2 roll thier eyes at me. Of course, one of them being Mrs. R ... Grrr, like I said I wanted to give her a reason to roll them eyes, but I held the lips together. SIGH ... Moving on ..  I was hoping to get those HS forms today - but I still have not. Adam has asked me twice this week when the Homeschooling Conference is and he says he can't wait to go. It is in OshKosh in May so that looks like it will be like a mini vay K for us. The kids are all excited to go too. Strange as I didn't think they would be, but hey, I get suprises every now and then. :o)

The kids and I are going to go to LaCrosse tommorrow to start to buy some supplies for our homeschooling endeavors ... I hear that Barnes and Noble has some good things and we also have Bible workbooks we bought the kids last year when I thought of doing this. We will also load up on paper, pencils and stuff. I am really getting excited to do this. I have begun to think of so many things to do with the kids as experiments and studies ... crafts, etc. ... I know it won't all be easy though, but I still am looking forward to it.

Adam has to work all weekend, the dope won't go back to the doctor and still feels like doody. All the rest of us are feeling okay though and doing alot better. I was also thinking of taking the kids swimming or to the Childrens Museum tommorrow too. I haven't made up my mind just yet on which to do, but I guess we'll decide when we get there.

Adam was wanting to go to the Mueseum as well, but he was just told that the next 4 weeks are going to be overtime crazyness ... so we have to take advantage of it while it is there ... still don't know what will happen in the future, so atleast I know all things are paid off and money is in the bank ... new van and old van are soon together, and for THIS MOMENT everything is ok. :O) Lord knows that after this last year .. it is finally nice to just be able to sit - not worry - and be able to breathe.

Well, my gang is dying of hunger - or so they tell me . ha ha .. I prolly won't be around all that much throughout the weekend, so hope all yours is a good one !

  1. That's strange that your internet company would do that. But glad you got a better deal on internet.

I can't believe you kept quiet at teacher conference. I would have went off on that teacher. Hope you get those homeschool forms soon.

  5. The WPA conference info is now online. http://www.homeschooling-wpa.org/conference/ We can't wait! We booked a room at a regular hotel though because DH had enough of dorm life living through college! LOL! Our family is hosting 3 workshops on the connections side of the conference, Apples to Apples, Letterboxing and Flat Traveling. I highly recommend the graduation ceremony. Its so inspiring to hear the graduates and parents speak.

  7. you know what our internet/cable company did to us? After we had it shut off, we got a bill for $600! Matt called and they were like, "oh, that's just automatic until you turn the equipment in..." and he was like "we turned the equipment in 2 weeks ago!!! Can you PLEASE send us a final bill with the REAL amount we owe on it?" They said yes, and we got the bill for $87 or so, and it was posted as being due on the 10th of March, right? So, on the 3rd of March we get a COLLECTION BILL from them, stating how they have made "every attempt to collect on this and if we don't pay in 5 days, they will send it to collection!!"

Oh, Matt was PISSED! Time Warner pretty much assured that they won't EVER be getting service from us again!

Anyway, the whole "credit report" billing is becoming huge. Already your car insurance payment is based on your credit rating! And Matt was telling me that they are going to be basing something else on one's credit score as well...... it's terrible! What a crock of ****!

Glad that you guys got a good deal somewhere else though. Whew!

  8. That doesn't make any sense about the cable thing? Who in their right mind runs a company that way - what the heck are they smokin' anyway? The boys have Sirrus radio and they want you to pay a year in advance of service! Yeah right, and guess who would be going out of business with nary a refund in sight???!! We also have a newspaper subscription to Erick's hometown (that way we will know if his dad passes away, but that's another story. The only communication we have is when we initiate it and that gets rather frustrating year after year.... like I said another story). Anyway, the newspaper apparently has ceased and does not even exist anymore. They just shut their doors without telling any of the customers - had to read about it in a competeing paper. So I may not get my cut of what ever was left of that 32 bucks.
Cool about Oshkosh. Have you ever been to the EAA museum? I love love love that place. We camped 10 years at the worlds largest aviation event. What stopped us going was our move down to Florida. And sun and fun, is wonderful on a much smaller scale.....

  9. "Chopped up Ladybugs!!"...Hehehehe!!..u crack me up!! I guess I am too because I stay home and my Hubby works..lol..o-well! Works for us! He goes to work and I take care of the house and all...and it's spotless when he gets home if I do say so myself!!..Hehe! And that Teacher needs to butt out! I mean I know not everybody agrees on the Homeschooling thing..but she needs to keep her opinion to herself. That's "your" buisness and "your" decision! They are YOUR kids!! I've thought of it myself..when we decide to have kids. I know your looking forward to it..bet ya'll will have alot of fun. So Gordon got 2nd at Atlanta! Yippee!! He's on a roll! Getting closer and closer to a Win!! Well have a good week girl! How's the weather there?? It's warm here now..like 80 degrees! Take care! ttyl Hugs, Tammy
