*UMMMM, WARNING ! Being absent for a few days from here, may cause a slight tendency of my rambling on and on. Errrr ......I am a gal to likes to blab too much appearantly. *
Sooooo, with that being said ...
1) With the strain of "godknowswhatcrap" that I had, I am so happy to feel better. My whole family had sorts of it and are getting over it. Gracie had the worst other than myself though, she had diarrhea ... or ummmm ... diawater ? (No other way to discribe it really .) It litterally was yellow looking pee. She'd poop out and once it just SHOT OUT and attacked me !!! It was NOT at all pretty people !!! Today though it seems to be over for her and all I gotta say is: LORDIE ... PLEASE FOR ALL THAT IS GOOD ! NEVER let that stuff come back here again !
2) Yes, you wanted to know all that - didn't you ? Of course you did. :O)
3) Yesterday was my first day of really feeling more like myself again... I went outside and did some errands, paid a few bills... went to WalMart, did grocery shopping and found some good holiday stuff at 75 % off ! Wrapping paper and stuff - they also had kids jammies for 1.00 - 2.50 each. (I SPENT 11.00 on that stuff, don't worry, I wasn't crazy.) They didn't look all holiday looking either, just more wintery ... like with snowflakes and stuff. With groceries even, I felt like I was stealing something when I left, I thought I had spent so much, but it wasn't that way at ALL !!! I like when that happens !
4) Has anyone seen this IKEA commercial ?
Yeaa ... that is what I felt like ! LOL ! That's great !
5) Yesterday I also started a new account for savings too. Adam has a BIG problem saving, so if I put away money everytime we get paid, (I am thinking) it will help us this next year. I would like to use it to move or go on a REALLLLY great vacation ... especially after this last year and all, but saving it is good too. Isn't it ?!
6) I am so tired of this crap of the white kind already. Have I said that before ? I NEEEEED (and wish) to get away from here. I can't take this cold dreary northern depressing blahness anymore. I need to be where it is like 77 and mostly sunny all year ! HA HA ...That would be perfect !
7) Once spring comes ... Let me tell you ! HA .... OOOh, I just can't wait ! I am an outside kinda girl .. and that is prolly why my fave holiday is the Forth of July, I can be outside .... without the worry of hypothermia !
8) Alright ! I am tired of VINCE and BILLY being on my TV ! I DON'T want a SHAM WOW or a SLAP CHOP !!!!! and I don't care what Billy Mays sells, I don't want that either ! Geeze, these guys irritate me !
I would seriously like someone to slap them !!
9) When talking to the fam the other night we all discused getting rid of more things and bringing the family closer ... doing without, I guess you could say. They really don't NEED all the junk they have. I think it will get better after home schooling starts here too.
10 ) So far this new year; even tho I was sick; I THINK? it is going good. I am keeping positive and not letting little things get to me (except Vince and Billy) lol .... It is like a program of sorts, I have to keep on it everyday and know that to everything there is a season. .. the Lord has a plan .... Ya' know.. Faith is a hard one for me, I have a tendency to trust no one very easily. It is something I am TRYING to do better at.
11) I watched the Patrick Swayze thing last night, he has always been a fave of mine since Dirty Dancing of course ( I snuck to watch that too and to which, BTW I know EVERY word of ! ) .. but I just DO NOT understand his take on smoking !!!!! WHY are so many smokers like that ? My parents are the same way and so was My Grandma, till it was to late. Does anyone here smoke ? Can you tell me WHY you or others might think that way ??? I just do not get it !
12) Gracie is fascinated with hiding under the kitchen table today ... strange child.
13) Gosh, I really got to get this holiday stuff down ... it is beginning to irritate me as well, hopefully this weekend it will get done. I intended to last weekend, but life had other plans. :O)
OKAY .. that's it ! I'm hungry...so, off to eat lunch and feed the chillin's !

Oooh and I know what you mean about feeling like you're almost stealing, because you got such great deals on that stuff you bought! Man oh man... I love after Christmas sales too. They're the best ever! I'm looking forward to when the Winter clothes go on sale too.

The savings account is a wonderful idea. You will be suprised at how quickly it adds up and its not so easy to get the money out like a credit/debit card so I think its great.

It wasn;t a movie.. he was on 20/20 last night with Barbara Walters or something and was talking about how he won't give up smoking regardless of his pancreatic cancer and the fact that it would help him if he did quit. I just don't understand that. He wants to live so badly, yet won't stop smoking.

ReplyDeleteI watched the ending of the 20/20 special! I think the fact that he knows he is sick & dying is why he wont/cant quit..people use cigareettes as a crutch, so to speak! To ease their nerves. Maybe he sees it as whats the use in quiting now..who knows!?!?
Thats a great idea on starting up a savings account! It will add up over time..hopefully you'll be able to take that trip you are wanting so badly!:)

ReplyDeleteYeaaa, I read alot of medical jargin basically because I LUV science and want to know EVERYTHING ... He has pancreatic Cancer... THE WORST cancer to ever get diagnosed with and very few ever live very long with it. Now the Cancer had already spread to his liver and while the liver can repair itself to some extent - liver cancer is another awful cancer to have and to me his prognosis is very bleak. I guess I never thought if his smoking the way Shelley put it .... My grandma found out in 98 she had emphysema then quit. It was too late. She passed in early 99. I am just clueless as to why people start to beging with really. I just don't undestand it, but I like learning and would luv to understand it more. Both my parents smoke as well. Pancreatic cancer however has been linked to smoking, so I hope maybe with this people learn that greatness can be lost from making that decision. I sure as hec hope PS beats this, but it truly would be a miracle if he does. It is a sad sad thing. He is such a strong presence on the earth.

ReplyDeleteOk, on to Patrick Swayze.. I watched the whole 20/20 b/c I have loved him since he was Jed in Red Dawn( one of my faves.. ) and Darrel in the Outsiders.. Oh, and Dirty Dancing didn't help but aid my crush on him!!! Sooo, anyhoo.. on to his smoking issues.. he said it himself that the reason he continues to smoke is b/c unless he knows for sure that stopping smoking will actually help in curing his basically terminal illness, what's the point.. but until he knows for sure that it will, he's going to continue to smoke. I can't say that I blame him. I'm not a smoker, nor have I ever been but I can see his point.. my girlfriend's mom got diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, passed away after 3 months of diagnosis and that woman went out in a blaze of cigarette smoke.. and that's what made her her.. I'm just saying that if that's your vice and you already know that you have limited time left on earth and your quitting your vice isn't going to help you either way, do what you please.. that's my opinion on it..
either way, I loved the interview.. his wife is so sweet and of course Baba-wawa made me cry.. as usual!!

I think Patrick is an idiot for not quitting. Even if it didn't cause it, it will keep his treatment from doing it's job. Dumb dumb dumb.
I TOTALLLY agree. Studies have shown quitting smoking INCREASES blood flow - which in turn would definitley help in the aid of the medicines. BUt I don't judge him for is decisions. Like I said both my parents have always smoked, my grandma too - till she passed. Everyone has faults, I am just having a hard time with the"I want to live thing".. yet he won't stop. I dunno. I guess though, with it being the way it is though, it really don't matter. I am just so sad for him and he DOES have a really great attitude about it though. I could only pray to be as strong. Cancers run in my family, it is only a matter of time.... but I don't smoke, that might help some.

ReplyDeleteMy dad has been a lifelong smoker. He has emphesemia and COPD and battles pnemonia practically every year, and will NOT stop smoking. I remember growing up and him swearing "when cigs cost a dollar a pack, I'm DONE"......"When cigs cost 2 dollar a pack, I'm done!"....."When cigs cost 3 dollars......" you get the point!

I'm not a smoker but come from a family of smokers and my hubby use to smoke too. All I can say is it's a very addictive thing & not easy to quit. My hubby did it but it took the patch to do it. I think it's one of those things you start to be "cool" (or so you think) and then it gets ahold of you.

ReplyDeleteJust to let you know the weather in TN is much nicer and there is no state income tax! So that money from A's check that now goes to the state you could keep and use for bills. Sure our sales tax is higher 9.??% but hey you just shop sales and make up the difference that way. :-)
