SUNDAY'S FEW

Only a few things to say today. I am pretty busy running about the house getting things cleaned up .. I am just taking a break right now - although I really feel like taking a nap ! If I did take a nap though, all this stuff would just remain undone and it's driving me way TOO bonkers !

Brittany made such a stink yesterday about her music that we have now decided that it is too big of an influence and it is ALL going to go. If she don't like what little is offered, there is always none.

Tommorrow my kids have no school, I think it is a teacher day or something. I will be glad to get the homeschooling underway, I am so ready ! Tuesday I will go in and talk about that note I recieved. :O(

Tommorrow we are also running a bunch of the clothes and stuff to LaCrosse to try to sell to OUAC. Jordan has a bunch of Nascar things, video games and movies that we wants to take to the Pawn Shop too. We also decided that the extra TV that never made it there - is finally going. I will be glad.

Jordan did his credit hours at Goodwill yesterday and BOY OH BOY ! Have I a got a load of stuff  I want to blab about !! .. No time today, so maybe tommorrow if I remember.

I have a stack of papers on my table that have got to be gone through, YUK ! I hate doing it !

I have managed to get through most of the laundry this weekend, sigh. How I hate it ! There still seems to be so much though.

Well, I'm not getting anything done sitting here, so I'm off ! Have a great Sunday everybody !

TAMMIE

P.S. A Very Duggar Wedding is on tonight at 9 !

  1. You have been one busy woman Tammie!! Good luck with selling your items at OUAC! I'm going to have a big garage sale this spring. I have so much "stuff" that I can hopefully get a little cash for. I never take the time to organize a sale but money is so tight right now that I really have no choice..LOL.

I can't wait to hear more about Jordan's credit hours at the Good Will!

That's exciting that you are going to start homeschooling! Are you starting this school year or next year? Did you talk to Kathy on my page? She loves homeschooling and she can give you all kinds of tips:-)

Me too...I am always doing laundry. I hope the rest of your day goes well!!! Have a good evening Tammie! *hugs*

  7. Hrmmm something interesting must of went down at Good Will. Can you get the kids, well the older ones, to help out with laundry? Have them put the loads in, and take em out, folding and hanging stuff up and putting it away, it would certainly help you out plus teach them life skills.

  8. Oh they do. They are in charge of thier own things, all the time. It is just it never ever ends. If it isn't clothes, it is coats or shoes or blankets and lord, name it I will wash it. LOL. They do help, but lord it never ends ! :O)

  10. No, they only let you file the form after a certain date (at least that is what the lady told me) and I missed it, so It will begin with the new school year. I would have started in January if when I went to ask I was told it was ok.

  11. Okay, just wanted to give you some home schooling advice here. Here is a link to the Wisconsin requirements: http://www.hslda.org/laws/analysis/Wisconsin.pdf

Also, after reading some of the articles on the HSLDA website, I highly recommend you join this organization, which provides legal help to home schooling families. From what I've read, Wisconsin school districts are not terribly friendly to home schooling families.

Here is the link to the HSLDA website: http://www.hslda.org/default.asp?bhcp=1

I'm sorry you have to wait this year out. I am sure that things will be a bit frustrating, especially if the district knows what your intentions are. The actual laws of Wisconsin don't appear terribly restrictive, but if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help. Once you are ready to choose a curriculum, I can help with that too. There is so much out there, and I've worked with several different publishers. There should be home school groups you can join as well to help as you begin this endeavor. I'm excited for you!

  12. That's good then, J helps put things away but I don't let her climb stairs with heavy baskets. I'm afraid she'll fall, our laundry is up a good flight of stairs. But if I'm only doing one load (ha one load..that aint often) she'll run up there and put it in the dryer for me. I'd give anything for my own washer and dryer on the same floor. Hell if it was just on the same floor it would be better. If I ever get a house, that is a must! That and a jacuzzi tub..heehee!

  13. Okay what did I miss about a note?? Oh my!!! Oh the HSLDA is a great legal group! I belong with them, I need to renew my membership with them!! I am really glad our state doesn't have many rules if any really!! I am also glad I never put them in public schools to begin with! Good luck with dealing with that. Let me know if you need any help!! Ugh on the laundry with my propane almost gone I had to make a trip to the laundry mat to dry my clothes! I sure don't miss doing that! Ugh!! Wondering what happen with the Good will!! Hugs to you!!
