REVOLUTIONARY ROAD

There aren't many movies that come out today that I ACTUALLY look forward to seeing, but this is one of them ! It comes out January 23rd.

I absolutely adore Kate and Leo and think they make a great team. (Titanic)

The dialouge is about A husband and wife in 1950s suburban Connecticut, dissatisfied with life, after a move to France their relationship deteriorates into an endless cycle of squabbling, jealousy and recriminations.

It might be rated R but I will see it because I think I can relate.

And best of all !!!! Guess what .... THEY AREN'T PERFECT ! Awesome !

"Frank and April, a married couple in the 1950s, have always seen themselves as special, different, ready and willing to live their lives based on higher ideals. So, as soon as they move into their new house on Revolutionary Road, they proudly declare their independence from the suburban inertia that surrounds them and determine never to be trapped by the social confines of their era. Yet for all their charm, beauty and irreverence, the Wheelers find themselves becoming exactly what they didn't expect: a good man with a routine job whose nerve has gone missing; a less-than-happy homemaker starving for fulfillment and passion; an American family with lost dreams, like any other. Driven to change their fates, April hatches an audacious plan to start all over again, to leave the comforts of Connecticut behind for the great unknown of Paris. But when the plan is put in motion, each spouse is pushed to extremes--one to escape whatever the cost, the other to save all that they have, no matter the compromises. "

  4. This is one my wife and I will be seeing as well. Although I'm sure it'll be just as difficult to watch s American Beauty (also directed by Winslet's husband Same Mendes) and Little Children (also starring Winslet). Still, these two are great actors and there's nothing like a well-told story. But, I cannot recommend "Slumdog Millionaire" enough! As for "Paul Blart, Mall Cop"....the more I see the stupid trailers, the more I wanna see it!

I really like movies that are more true to life films, with great story lines .. so I think this should be a good one.

  10. You're not the 1st person to say that. LOL! I dunno. As much as people think I'm picky, I'm really not. Sure, there are films I just have no desire to see but sometimes a random goose egg comes around and it just grabs me.
