I really wasn't going to do this update this week, but then I didn't want to get behind. This "Bitty Baby Blog" is more or less for my looking "backedness" in the future.
This week, it was actually hard for me to tell what was going on as far as the pregnancy goes. Being sick made it hard to tell if being queezy was any type of morning sickness or remnant of the stomach flu. Dizziness came and went and vertigo was a norm from the major head infection. Headaches a usual.
I didn't crave much or eat much ... I wasn't too moody, but my mouth got away from me a few times and sometimes I was a bit tempermental. ha. Much like having some form of PMS.
I still am having the cramping and bleeding. A stabbing pain in my right side occasionally occurs. I am GOING to make another doc appointment, because it just don't seem 'right' to me and feels weird, not to mention ANNOYING. Whatever the case may be with it, I just want it to stop. I am NOT a "pad" kinda gal and this is not making me happy ! :O(
So that is all that I feel going on with me this week .... if you want to read, this is what is most likely going on with the baby.
Week 8
Your growing baby is six weeks old, thanks to the fuzzy math of pregnancy. This fuzzy math is also responsible for the widely believed notion that pregnancy is only nine months long, when in actuality it's closer to 10. Who comes up with this stuff? Obviously a man.
"If I have to smell my coworker's tuna salad sandwich for one more second, I am going to lose my cookies. Wait, did someone say cookies?"
You know you need to take your prenatal vitamins in order to assure proper growth and nutrition for your little one, yet every time you swallow the thing, it comes right back up thanks to your woozy stomach. Don't panic:
First, try popping prenatal vitamins at night or with food. Having something in your stomach to help absorb those horse pills can sometimes help.
Iron is important, but it's also a common cause of nausea. Ask your doc about a vitamin with less iron, or try a liquid or chewable form that might help with the queasiness.
If you're still barfing after that, check and see if your obstetrician can prescribe you a vitamin that is specifically formulated for women with severe nausea. The Baby
This week, your little tadpole is starting to look a little bit more human. Other exciting developments include:
Your baby's eyelids, ears, upper lip and the tip of his soon-to-be adorable button nose are forming.
Junior will also sprout webbed fingers and toes this week—which you'll be well aware of in a few months, as baby starts early gymnastics classes inside you.
Baby's tiny heart has separated into four distinct chambers and is really ticking now—at a rate of 150 beats per minute. That's more than twice your resting heart rate.
Your baby is now a little more than ½ inch long, about the size of the rock in a big engagement ring.
What do they say about the cramping and bleeding? That just doesn't sound normal to me. Is it to do with your condition?
ReplyDeleteI love hearing your updates on the baby, so please keep doing them. :) I wish when I was pregnant I had something like this to journal & share things.
Off to go outside and cook on the grill. Oops, you are NOT the person I should tell that too. lol HUGS!!!
SEEEE ?! You ARE evil ! Ta ha ha ! Grill cooking ... Pffft. I can't even find the GD grill it is buried in a mountain of snow !
ReplyDeleteAs far as the bleeding, I have always felt it was weird, but the doc say that the "polyps" in the cervix and uterus are causing it. I want them gone - this is so crazy annoying. I mean it isn't bad, just spotty mess and I don't like it. It is just - well, annoying.
I'm lucky I don't get the mood swings. Errr, I guess I should say OTHERS are lucky!
ReplyDeleteYeah, no kind of cramping/bleeding should feel "right" while pregnant.
Ok....I'm reading the baby part. A tadpole? This does not work well with getting rid of the ick factor of pregnancy for me. I've had 5 different friends in the last 10 years have babies. And the more I watch them and the more I learn about it, the more I want to go.....ok, eeeeew. I don't think I could do it. More power to you and all the other pregnant women out there. It's not something I think I'll ever be able to give myself over to doing.
ReplyDeleteAnd if somehow I ever end up doing it....expect a heck of alot of blog complaining from me. "I can't eat WHAT?" "I want my Diet Dr. Pepper!" "I'm gaining all that weight I just lost!" "People are bugging me and oohing and ahhing at me! I hate that!" Whiney whiney whiney...that is me.
Sorry you are still cramping + bleeding. I had terrible cramps all through my pregnancy. I wasn't a happy pregnant person. lol You should call Dr if you think something doesn't seem right.
ReplyDeleteI hope you figure out what's causing these issues :(
ReplyDeleteWith my middle son, I bled and cramped through the whole pregnancy. My doctor said it was normal for some woman. At times I bled so hard that I had to wear a pad..it wasnt just the wipe & see blood type! If your doctor says its all normal..dont stress yourself out over it..((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteI followed a GREAT guideline when I was pregnant (gosh 19 years ago) that told what foods to eat in which developmental stage. Right now you should be eating fish for the brain and lots of OJ. I played dolphin songs and songs of the whales to my womb. I swear, I think that's why my children are so smart!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you are doing well. I really missed your blogs while you were gone. I love the baby updates. Just wanted to let you know that I have been around and reading but have been horrible about commenting...sorry. Hope to talk soon....Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteLifting the prayers higher sweetie, I hope you are feeling better soon. Love the baby blog what a neat idea.
ReplyDeleteI love how they call it a tadpole, like your some kind of reptile..lol! I'm glad the flu is now gone and you can toss your cookies for morning sickness instead. Fun stuff huh? Just make sure your eating good things, cut back on caffeine and take your vitamins, ha like you haven't done this before right? I'm not a pad kind of girl either. If I ever couldn't use tampons I'd hate it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update and I love how you add the stuff at the bottom! I love it!!!! I hope you start feeling better andt he cramping and bleeding will stop soon!! Hugs to you!!
