Appearantly I am in a mouthy type of mood today .. CHILL OUT ! peoples .. it is a good mouthy this time. :O)
1) We FINALLLLLY heard about getting state insurance (Badger Care here) I have never used state stuff before - so I have no idea what to do. I have an appointment on the 20th to go and see if we qualify. I will take Adam with me because since becoming civilian I don't know squat about his pay. Dang ... military way is so easier to explain to me ... I don't understand this net, gross, hourly crap AT ALL.
2) That brings me to my next issue. The van. Now it has been what ? ... ummmm ... I think since before Christmas (12-22) that they said they were going to come and take it, but still I have heard nothing. I wait and think everyday that someone will be knocking on my door .. but nada. I kinda am glad - yet on the other hand, I wish they would just do it and get it over with .....
3) And of course that brings me to my next statement. Taxes. Shawoooo ! I will more than happy to get that done this year. My intention (Not always Adams) is to use the money from the return to buy a new/used - possibly reliable car. I want it bought flat out ... NO DEBT. Cash On The Barrel ! I, myself will NEVER finance another vehicle again EVER ..so I guess even if it just gets us all there that would be nice with me .. now whether or not we all fit is another story. I am leaving that up to the Lord - prayer and hoping that what turns out will be what is needed.
4) If we have any money left from that I would LIKE to file backruptcy. (I say like becaue, like I said MY intention is not always Adam's same intention) So, I haven't ever and am feeling reallly odd about doing so. I don't know how I feel about it. I feel like It is some excuse to say "Hey, I have not got to pay this now" ... well, that IS the case .. but I think you know what I mean. Basically since we refuse to use credit, we do not have debt, just small bills and alot of hospital ones ... so maybe relief of them would be nice, because paying all this little stuff adds up and that is what gets us into trouble and why we have so little money. Bills MUST be paid first !
5) Then of course I feel like If I "don't pay them .. it is not reality .... I KNOW some will disagree, but seriously ... God don't care about credit, and my thought is to "Owe no man nothing but Love" but in the Lord's eyes... I might possibly still owe these amounts. Gah.. I am not making any sence. So filing backruptcy seems like an easy way out to me. I know - I have issues. Let me be.
6) Sooo... as far as my day goes. Gracie DID sleep in Hannah's room ALL night ! I just might do this more now because she actually slept all night through. How Fantastic ! She slept a long time though and actually took a long nap already today ... I was suprised, but maybe she don't feel too well yet. She is still having some poo issues. She is in such a jovial mood today though ... which is great !
7) It snowed here this morning. I will leave that - at that. I am tired about talking about snow all the time and how much I hate it, ya'll KNOW that already ! :O)
8) There is a verse I am trying to memorize that says something like "Do everything you do with Love" yes, a bible verse of course... so that is what I am TRYING to do from now on ... sortakinda resloution of types if you will. Maybe it will help me learn to be more meak in my heart instead of so open mouthed as I tend to do.
Well, I am going to go eat lunch .. Hope that you all have a wonderful Friday and weekend ahead !! :O) HUGS !!
TAMMIE
I know someone on badger care...they say it's good.
ReplyDeleteJust take the car thing one day at a time.
Glad to hear Gracie slept in Hannah's room all night:)
I hope you enjoy your lunch Tammie!
ReplyDeleteI hope your tax refund is very good to ya'll this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think we'll be getting our w-2 pretty soon and I'll file right away. I always like doing it as soon as we get the w-2.
We do too .. A few years ago we didn;t have to wait for the W-2's but we have a lady in town do our taxes now and she wants them .. I am hoping that they come soon though, that would be nice .. they are always so slow it seems to me, but usually with military you can get them online now too, can't with Adam's job now. It is stinky.
ReplyDeleteI think that buying a car outright sounds like a good plan for you all for now!
ReplyDeleteDid you wake up this moring before Gracie? That used to always scare me with Emma! She never slept well and when she did it freaked me out!
OMgsh yes !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHA AH .. I kept asking everyone if she was ok ?! :O) I had to keep checking on her ! Geeze oh meeze.
I think buying a car when you get taxes is a good thing..
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're a woman on a mission!
ReplyDeleteHooray for Gracie sleeping all night! Enjoy your lunch!
Just a thought....Why don't you take some of your tax refund + get the car fixed that's in your yard? Then you would still have some money to pay off some bills.
ReplyDeleteThat's great about Gracie sleeping all night. Have a great weekend!
Sounds like you have a plan of action...that's a definite start!
ReplyDeleteUsing the taxes to get a car is an excellent idea. Start looking and you may be able to find a good used van. Car dealerships are desperate right now and are offering some really good deals.
ReplyDeleteI think I read somewhere that all financial companies agreed to not foreclose or repo any property during the Holidays. I guess that's their way of saying "Happy Holidays"
ReplyDeleteI wish I had snow....just one day and I would be happy!!
Have a great, weekend, Tammie!!
:)
I think buying a car/van outright is definitely the way to go. If you do your research, you certainly can find something reliable. It may not be pretty, but it'll get you around. Matt SWEARS that's what we'll be doing next time. Which hopefully will be a LONG way away! We plan on keeping the ones we have until they fall apart! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how filing bankruptcy works anymore...they've changed the laws since we did. Believe me, it wasn't easy making the decision (for the same reasons you are having trouble. It just felt 'wrong') However, we were told by no less than 6 financial people to file, so we went ahead and did. But that was before the laws changed....
Hey! I'm mouthy too..dont feel bad!LOL Join my club!:P
ReplyDeleteI think you plans are great! You should see what Adam has planned and let him know. Maybe he will agree with you..
I think the idea of getting a vehicle that you dont have to make payments on it, is the best way to do it. Thats what we had to do and I really love it! I LOVE the vehicle I have..so it all worked out in the end for us..in that area at least!
Thanks for the get well wishes! Work went good tonight and I made it thru the whole night!:) I'm actually feeling better..I hope tomorrow its completely gone!
Sweet Dreams!((HUGS)) Luv Ya!
I grew up military... and once I moved out of the house, I found all that health insurance stuff SOO confusing! Even though I'm still under military insurance, all the medical stuff near school doesn't accept it so if there is ever an emergency I won't really know what to do! I'm also trying to learn slowly for when I graduate and have to get my own insurance and it's really hard to learn!
ReplyDeleteI hope your meeting on the 20th goes well. You need health insurance so badly especially being pregnant and having kids! I can't believe they would turn you down.
ReplyDeleteGlad Gracie slept well, I hope it is the start of many good nights of sleep :-)
I hope your quest for a good reliable van works out. You need a vehicle that will fit your whole family. At this point, maybe you should try and sell the Saturn (I think it was a Saturn) for parts...for extra money. Or someone might buy it to get it working too...they are reliable cars and not super gas guzzlers so someone might be interested even though it isn't running now.
