1) I am doing my thoughts on Wednesday, because I THOUGHT yesterday was Monday. I have no idea why .
2) OOOMG ! Gracie is being near impossible today. She has made it her personal mission today to be Captain destuct -O .. in every area of the house ! I had to shut all the doors and tie one shut because it don't close. She has demolished the pile of laundry I just folded and tore everything out of the bottom cabinets. It is like having my own personal Godzilla !
3) I got my Christmas cards done last night, I had near 40. I always send out alot, but never get many back. I really got to slim down, seeing that stamps are costing more every year.
4) I still don't have the tree up. I feel like the only one on the planet that musn't. My hubby is getting antzy about it, I can tell, but I just haven't felt good the last few days and thus fore it hasn't gotten up. Maybe this weekend.
5) I miss being able to do my normal holiday shopping, it is really bothing me this year. I actually like going out amoungst the holiday shoppers. Makes me feel more Christmasy for some reason. I still haven't bought one thing and don't know what I will buy either, if we even can buy anything. My kids want too many expensive things that obviously THIS year we cannot afford.
6) Making cookies later .. maybe that will help with a holly jolly spirit.
7) Adam is going to a "guys only" Holiday shin dig tommorrow. Must be nice.
8) Well, the kids wanna eat lunch and Gracie is into something yet again. I STILL feel like doody.

Have you signed your kids up for any programs to get them some gifts Tammie? I know it is probably hard to ask for help but it is a rough year for everyone! You all are not alone!

Mandi suggested Toys for Tots, so I contacted them and they aren't doing anymore for my area - as we live out in the boonies.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any other ones here, Angel tree or what not don't go out this far. We live oh - about 60 miles from the biggest town.
I am trying to have faith and hate sounding like a downer, but it hard seeing and hearing about what everyone else is doing.
gotta love that age...... I hear that the more destructive and crazy they are as kids, the smarter they are as adults..so, be proud! LOLOLOL

Your not the only one. My tree isn't up either and not one bit of decorations. Hubby & I talked about it earlier and we know we must get busy but ugh....the mood still isn't here.

ReplyDeleteOOOoyy, destructo Queen Gracie went up stairs with the kids for a bit .. thank Goodness. they had a half day, I had forgotten. I am going to be the one taking the nap today ! lol. Gah, she just has me in such a mood, maybe PMS related too ... but yikes, between not feeling well and all the crud ... a nap is very much needed.
I am thinking of going to church tonight, but don't know that I will - who knows maybe that will make my mood go away.
Well, lets hope so. Lordie - she is sooo inquisitive and curious ... MUST be into E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G !!!!

I understand you completely on the $$ isue thing and Christmas shopping! Normally I'm so into it and love it! This year, I just wish it would go away. Everyone wants the best for their kids, holidays included..$$ is just so tight this year. I know it'll all work out in the end, I just hate having to worr about it.

I would be the happiest person if I was rich and be so very giving indeed!! I wish I could!!! I normally am so into it also but without being able to buy for people. Even at my MOPS meeting they were saying that if you are making $50,000 a year your consider in the 1% group of being rich! I was like $50,000 would be awesome! We are half that! Ugh!! You know I never get back as many cards as I send not even half usually!! But I love to make people smile so I hope that is what I do!!! Well I hope your Wednesday night will be super !Hugs
