"Wake up ! ..... There's no school, now, go back to sleep" !
O holy night ! We are snowed in ! The kids are off school obviously. They will be happy - me prolly not so much so. Give me till about 1 o'clock and I will be going insane. Anyway, What a mess there is outside. and IT IS STILL snowing ! Not supposed to stop till after 6 pm this evening. Funny thing is, snow to about Madison then rain all points south - not much but a dusting up by the cities, so for once WE got whopped. Usually never happens that way. I don't know how much there is, but it is up to the porch and most everything is buried. We live in a school district that hardly ever closes, the roads are plowed this morning so I was shocked they called school, most likely it is for the outlying areas, that got smacked ... atleast I would suppose.
I seriously think entertaining the thought of not having snow for the holidays will not be necessary this year. Good thing I got all the outside decor up.
I still haven't got my tree up or inside things done inside ... LL says cleaning job might need to wait till after the holidays, :O( ... so there goes that idea for some stuff under the tree and we didn't make it to the pawn shop last night either, but still plan to go. I did get the grocery shopping done though, figured best to have food if we get trapped indoors - good thing too, now I don't HAVE TO go out if I don't want to, for a few days. I got some Holiday cards done and a package ready to go. I need to get a box or two and finish the cards. Hopefully if the kids leave me alone for a while today I will be able to do that. Ya ya - I know .. they are off school, we'll see how that goes. :O)
Still planning on making cookies, bought the ingredients last night. I gots Gingerbread, Choco Chip, Oatmeal, Oatmeal Raisin, Sugar, ChocoChoco chip and the kids have been BEGGING me to make Mel's Mayo cupcakes .. so I will be making some of those too. YUM .. I am getting hungry thinking about it, cuz I luv sweet things.
Guess the doc will wait till I can get out the door, I still will be going, but will just most likely do a regular appointment instead. I have to go there to make it because our phones are still off and it sucks ! I hate not having a phone - but what can ya' do ?! I feel ok though, just the cold has moved into my chest and yowsers, it doesn't feel all that grand either. I have my inhaler next to me if I need it.
Well, I am trying to figure if I have anything else to say, but nothing is coming to mind. I guess I will go get some breakfast - my tummy is rumblin - and then start singing from inside my snow globe ...

Yippy, snow, I would so love to see snow again...but it ain't likely to happen this far south. Enjoy your day...make the most of it. Maybe the kids can help you bake cookies.

ReplyDeleteNo thanks to all that snow. Okay I have a question, might seem stupid to you but oh well....lol.....Why do people up north bother putting out Christmas lights & decor? Doesn't the snow just cover it all?

I woke up this morning to ALL the snow melted! Its raining so hard that I think I might need a boat to get to work!LOL Its suppose to rain here all day, then turn to snow tonight...wonderful! I told you I was sending you snow gf..enjoy it!LOL
I'm going to some cookie baking this weekend! I'm off Friday & Sunday, so I need to get it started then!:) I LOVE baking..cooking is what I hate!LOL

Some people's decor is just sloppy so getting it covered over is a good thing... but if you hang lights by the roof you can still see them, and we got a big blow up snowman and he is ok this morning.... somethings get buried and yea, with it being cold you think why bother, but besides Packers Football appearantly no one else in this town has much else to live for. lol.

ReplyDeleteI could of used a snow day today, I stayed up too late and didn't want to get up. It's just raining here. Snowing north of me though I think. It's suppose to turn to snow tonight but not much accumulation. Which is ok with me. I don't like M driving an hour home in bad weather. It's the only car we got.

It would ordinarilly, but Adam would be tiffed if I didn't include him. He LUVes Christmas and barks at me everyday in a panic to get the stuff up...lol.

sorry you are still feeling bad :( Have you taken Guafinesin before? I probably spelled it wrong and to lazy to look it up..basically its a strong decongestant. Its in Mucinex or a generic chest conjestion formula in the cold section (same stuff as Mucinex) and its like 600 mg of it. IT loosens up everything...then if you try maybe Sudafed during the day to dry stuff up after a few days maybe that would work.

My kids weren't all that bad till this evening when they started to argue over who was on the internet more than thier allotted time. lol. I would give them a sled if we had one, they also hate going outside .. they are weird.
