1) So Godzilla (aka Gracie) is playing Captain DestructO in the house again. She is trying to tear into everything, and driving me insane. I put up a big blow up Santa in between the livingroom and diningroom so she can't get past it. I have tied the laundry room door shut and closed the ones that actually do shut, the baby gate is up by the stairs and just short of actually buying a kennel for this beast, I feel like I am in a cage myself.
2) I am craving Subway today, guess that means a yummy sandwich is in order for lunch !
3) My remote control just got coated with a boogery, snotty, cookie mixture ... um, ok.
4) I keep trying to find ways to attempt to be Christmasy, but it isn't working too well. Was gonna put up the tree last night but guess who is sick now ? Adam, and I would rather run then be by him when he is sick ! He turns into a monster !
5) Must remember that the tree IS for the kids though, not me. Yeaaa. must remember that, then get barraded with the fact that they are expecting things to be under it. I am wondering now If I should tell them what is going on. I haven't said much of anything so far.
6) One bit of good news is that I found out that Energy Assistance will help us this year, A little over 200 to the Electric and about 400 to the gas. I will take all I can get and that is fine, because it helps. I have noticed that being without the heat the last few years though as made it alot easier to turn it down though. I always have it set on about 65, and my kids all say they are freezing, but it is nice to me ! I am just thankful to have the heat on !
7) Adam told me this morning to be ready when he gets home tonight. We insists on going to the pawn shop after all to unload a bunch of things. I hate doing it, but maybe it will give me enough to visit the Dollar store for atleast some candy. I hate how you never get even close to what you paid when you go to the pawn shops.
8) Of course that made me wonder if he is still sick, this evening will not at all be fun !
9) I wish the LL would have let us do the cleaning of that other house before the holiday, instead of after, the money sure would have been nice !
10) Ya know, I am not trying to ruin anyones holiday spirit, I am just being honest of how it is mine is going. I hate being all bumstead though, everyone keeps telling me this is the time for miracles .. but RIGHT NOW ... I am finding that hard to believe.
11) Godzilla is staring at me ! ... Hmmmm, what did she do ?
12) I still haven't made it to the doctor, I will though, I have to go. I just have to make an appointment. Hard to call with no phone right now. Wish I could make an appointment online ! Gahhh ! I wish we had insurance too !
13) Ok, well, that is it ... I am feeling so hungry I am about ready to gnaw my own arm off ! lol. Hope ya'll have a great day and wonderful weekend. I will hopefully be back by the time it is over with pix of my tree being up. :O)

Oh you know I usually love Christmas time but this year I sure don't feel like it and I too have to remember the tree for the kids!! That is awesome about the assitance! I am happy you'll get that help!! Oh I hope you'll be able to get to the doctors I feel the no insurance thing so I just can't go at all! You should try your stuff on Ebay, I bet you'd get more money there. Hubby use to work for a pawn shop and they hardly give you anything for the stuff! It's just sad!! ReplyDeleteBIG HUGS on the x-mas stuff. I have been feeling down too. My kids are use to many things under the tree and this year it will be only a couple things. On top of that none of my family is talking to me so when my kids are use to being with the whole family this year it will just be us. I have talked to my kids and explained that times are hard and they seem to understand. I told them if I have to I will be getting them some things after x-mas. Who says you have to do it on the actual day. I have decided the tree is for sure going up this weekend and I'm trying hard to get into some kind of spirit for my kids if nothing else. They will remember the memories created far more than the gifts. So get some stuff to bake, put your tree up and sing some caroles with your kiddos. It will make you all feel better. HUGS!!!

ReplyDeleteThe economy is bad this year. I'm glad you got fuel assistance help. I've alredy put 900 into oil and myelectric bill this month was $285.
I finally swallowed my pride and asked for help from a church.
They just called. I've got a visit set up for Monday.

ReplyDeleteDude that remote was just WAYYYYY TMI! I was happy about Christmas this year til we found out that my husband has to go to friggin Iraq. But he won't be leaving as soon as we first thought and he won't be gone for as long as we thought either... only a few weeks so I'm starting to perk up a little. I'll blog about it in a few days. Stop calling Gracie Godzilla lol.

ReplyDeleteI always wonderred why those play pens never really worked for my kids. The second I set them in it--they screamed to get out! I agree with Windi--that age is a bit tough--but oh what I would give to have mine that little again!
ReplyDeleteKids are pretty resilient so don't guilt yourself regarding the presents. When it comes right down to it--the love from their parents is the most treasured gift they can get. Every year we get to go to the Boys Home in our area and help raise money for them. These kids have nothing other than a few items of clothing and all they ever tell us that they want for Christmas is to be with their parents and families. It totally breaks my heart.
You are extremely blessed with many gifts--and your kids are blessed for having loving parents.
