Little Human update comin' at ya' !!!
SO, it is week 7 here for me. FUN !
Adam has begun his over protective rituals once again. Wouldn't let me walk from house to car unattended the other day when ice coated everything. Gets very protective of my feelings. ODD. But I can still blame him for feeling yucky if I have to ! Dang men !
No, I am kidding, it could be worse. I haven't experienced any morning sickness yet.. but I know by now (hello - this IS number 6) that at the first onslought of the feeling I MUST shove crackers or something into my face. I know - weird. But it works ! I am serious. It is like my belly says there is no nourishment here, you must add something.
I have had a few boughts of lightheaded-ness (is that a word?) and then I get all hot flashy feeling and have to like rip my sweater off, but then I am freezing again. Again, a norm for me. NOT pretty.
I am WAYYYY tired all the time, get headaches easily, my back has been killing me and I have had (shhhh!) some constipation. UGH. Embarrassing and I hate talking about it. ACK !
Only very trivial amounts of "Craving" going on ... with each of my kids I can remember cravings being moderate to severe . yes - with Gracie it was Drippy, ooooey, gooey cheese or Baked Potatoes EVERY DAY !!... So thus far, I have had a pickle wrapped in a slice of Kraft cheese, but that is not the norm .. I am sure it will soon follow. I have been eating more and I have gained one pound. I am a hog - what can I say. I like foooood !!! :O) Especially when I can smell it ! AAHHHH !
My sence of smell hasn't perked up all too well yet, but it always does. With Cameron I was a smell-a-freak ! I usually have BADDD sinus problems and very rarely smell anything well, but when preg, watch out ! I can smell AND I WILL !!!!! I tend to notice things others don't !
Now, mood swings - yeeeeeeeeeea. that is what gets me. They get badddd sometimes the first 1-2 months then stop all together. Hormones - I know. and since I have the AICCP, they are crazy the first few. Few ... VERY few - folks understand, but I really don't mean anything by it. I just can't control it.
~~~~~~ Mood swing story. On one of my already many in the middle of the night trips to the bathroom - at about 4 am, I found a laundry basket in the hallway lying on its side. THE SAME laundry basket I have asked a certain 17 year old to pick up 90 times all day yesterday. So I picked it up and threw it at him .... in his bed. What does the little freak say to me ... AT 4 am ??!?!? "THANKS MOM.. I NEEDED TO GET UP". ~~~~~~~
IDIOT.
So anyway --- that is the story about ME and what is going on in my 7th week so far !
Now here is some info that might interest you about the baby:
This week your baby's brain is growing at a mind-boggling 100 cells per minute within a see-through skull. If you could peer inside, you'd see those tiny brain cells growing and growing and growing (about as quickly as you feel like yours are shrinking and shrinking and shrinking with your "pregnancy brain"!). More high points include:
Your baby's face is becoming more defined this week. A tiny mouth hole (which will be ready to wail before you know it!), tongue, nostrils and ear indentations are visible. His or her eyes are wide open, but he doesn't have irises (the colored part) yet.
Baby's arm buds are growing. At this point they look more like microscopic ping-pong paddles than arms. Baby's leg buds are also forming and will look like tiny paddles by the end of the week.
The umbilical cord—the connection between your baby and the placenta—is now visible.
Your baby is now between 1/3 and 1/4 inch long—about the length of a Tic Tac and about as heavy as an eyelash. While that sounds tiny, he or she is approximately 10,000 times bigger than at conception. Crazy, huh?
Hahahahaha a litle tic tac can really put your body out of Whack!!
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA.. that rhymes, I gotta remember that !!
ReplyDeleteITs only cause he cares but men can go a little over board with not knowing that us mommies know when to call it when...Take care of yourself...hugs!
ReplyDeleteTake care Tammie and let Adam baby you and be over watchful too...because that's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to more updates...as time goes along! :0)
Most importantly.............take care of yourself honey! *HUGS*
How sweet of Adam to become all protective. lmao at your throwing the laudnry basket at him, that almost sounds like something I'd possibly do if at possibly the wrong moment. lmao!!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself and I'll be looking forward to reading your weekly updates. Almost makes me want another one but we decided after finding out I'm a carrier of Hemophilia that it's not fair to the child to go through it. So we are done. :( Makes us kinda sad but we have two very wonderful kids and we are very happy with that.
Enjoy your evening!!!
Glad to hear that you + the baby are doing good. I hated waking up many times during the night to pee. Then I could never fall back asleep. Then I would then I'd wake up to pee again. lol
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing to have a hubby want to look out for you.Let him pamper all he wants!!
ReplyDeleteIts nice when husbands are overprotective. Mine doesnt get that way very often but I ilke it! :)
ReplyDeleteI remember these days all too well. I craved cheese puffs with meghan and then Arby's with Kristin. I thought it was Arby's back with meg too. I was just thinking about this when I commented on Mandi's blog.
I got morning sickness alot and you are right I do remember your sense of smell really changing too...i had forgotten all about that.
I remember too peeing RIGHT in the middle of walmart because my stomach was so big and pushing on my bladder. I only had a few weeks to go too....I had my mom and sister with me and they made me laugh. I told him to stop but it was too late. I scurried to the bathroom while mom bought me pants on the spot to leave the store. It was hilarious...and im sure you didnt want to know all that...haha
Good times....
I wish I was pregnant just to eat everything my heart desires! I craved waffles with cream cheese on them when I was pregnant.
ReplyDeleteI see CONGRATULATIONS are in order!! Hope your morning sickness keeps to a minimum.
ReplyDeleteI never had morning sickness or many pains or hot flashes so I have no input on that...but with 5 under your belt you probably know what you need already!
ReplyDeleteMorning sickness was the worst for me! I would crave something, then 1/2 way thu it..YUCK..it would hit me!! Hopefully you wont go thru that this time around.
ReplyDeleteLet Adam baby you..you SO deserve it!:)
I haven't had morning sickness yet either..a little night time nausea but no vomiting (knock on wood!) which is a complete change from Avery where I puked EVERY day until AFTER he was born. :(
ReplyDeleteCravings? Soup!! I can't get enough of it! lol But I am thinking a baked potato sounds yummy now that you've mentioned it! ;)
Constipation? Right there with ya! I didn't have THAT before and am NOT liking it! :(
Glad to hear for the most part everything is going great! :)
Oh thanks for the updates! I am enjoy reading them! I like the facts you put at the end too!! I never really had an cravings but a pickle with cheese around it hmmmmmmm sounds interesting! LOL OH and having to go the bathroom! Yikes!! Hubby was very protective with the first one but after the rest it kind of went down hill. LOL Hugs to you
ReplyDeleteOMG......I'VE BEEN GONE SO LONG AND YOU ARE HAVING ANOTHER BABY??????????????
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS!!!! OH WOW!! I don't even know what to say!!
