SATURDAY SNIVELINGS ...

Hello out there ! Happy Saturday ! 

Woke up this morning to about two inches of snow on the ground. NIIIIIIIIIIICE. Sigh, how many days till spring again ?  I know winter has to come, but I just dislike it so.

Adam and Jordan are currently taking apart our old stove that blew up last night, so the garbage men will take it away. Yep, it blew up. I was making dinner and then *BAM* ! It decided to pull it's flaming death on me !!  Oh , like I need to go buy a new stove right now .. right ?

So early this morning we had no choice but to go to a local rent to own store and get a nice new stove. I HATE rent to owns ! Hate, hate, hate em !!! I hate credit and anything of the sort, I just see it as trouble and a way to rip people off, but what choice did I have ? Sigh, I will be working my toosh off as I have 3 months to get it paid off before I get whapped with interest, but I will get it done. I do like it though - it is a Whirlpool, with a cool flat top ! So, I guess that is a good thing.

So, forwarding on to this afternoon ... I got me a reeeeeeeeeeeealy nice suprise from the mail lady today ! WINDI SENT ME A BOX ! It was full of books and pictures . A picture of Her , Matt and the Boys,  the shots I call "Tulips in Chicago" and "The Fisherman" one's of hers I like so much. WOO HOOO ! A Happy Birthday box just for me !!! and Actually still the only gift I even recieved ! THANK YOU WINDI ! You are so sweeeeeeeet ! Thank You for thinking of me !!! That means alot to me !

SIGH, we also got the kids report cards today too, Hannah's was NOT good at all ! We are going to school on Monday to talk to them... we feel we are just NOT being heard about her educational needs. I have requested that she be held back for 2 years now, that she is NOT ready... but no one listens. If they refuse to do anything further, we are starting homeschool as soon as we can with her.

Brittany made honor roll ! We are so proud of her, she worked her tootsie off  !!!

Jordan .. sigh, oh what do I say here. SUCKED ?! Is that the right thing to say ? His grades were horrifying. He had just walked into the house with Allie (his GF) and we told him he knew it was coming with even one failing grade. He would be grounded 9 weeks till we got a better report card. We took his phone, computer and other things. It has never seemed to even make a difference, but oh well, it is his problem. He is mad at us right now, but hey, I didn't go to the school and do his work - ya' know ?! Needless to say, he won't be doing a whole lot of anything, any  time soon.

Sometimes it stinks to be so parental !

Anyway, yesterday morning we went to court. Got up and moving and got there running 5 minutes late. Went to go to where we were supposed to and noticed that our name was not on the court roster. Was told to go downstairs to the Clerk of Courts and see what the deal was. At first they didn't know why we were not listed to appear, but then they found that our court session had been cancelled and as the letter said that was sent to me, a ruling was placed and judgement was entered against us.

I had to sit there and write a looooong letter of explanation to the judge to reopen the case and even consider speaking to us about it. They told us that this is not a STAY - so the fact that judgement was entered against us still means that we can be served and the van taken. The reason that judgement was entered was because we did not enter a writ answer. Something I had NO IDEA we were even supposed to do or have done.

So in the meantime, we still have the van, and will await to hear from the court to see if we can reopen the case or not. I still feel so unheard, so walked on and angry, but was told there really is not much else that can be done.

Oh well, I guess in all honesty, we knew this would happen, so we've only ourselves to blame. We can't afford the insurance they insist us having, so we'll have no vehicle. This world is so screwed up sometimes. I guess I am just glad in Wisconsin it is against all laws to just repo your car for ANY reason, and even though we made payments we broke the contract because we did not maintain insurance, so today I am glad to be in Wisconsin, if not for this reason alone.

Tommorrow we are going to church and then celebrating Gracie's  very 1st birthday ! Can ya'll believe it has ALREADY been a year ??!?! That is just crazy ! So ...... Right now, at this exact same time last year, we were all at the Mayo Clinic waiting to welcome her into our world ! WOW ! how time flies ! GOSH !

Well, that is my weekend so far, but for  now - I have to run, we are attempting to finish the dining room, or atleast part of it ...  then on to that "UGLY" roommmm ' ...... shhhutter !
