OKAY ... first, I promise that this blog will not be a downer !
1) Well, it may not be all funny either, but all I can do is try. I am sorry for just being in the dumps... somedays it is so hard to get out of that way of thinking. It is such a baddd habit ! Please accept my appologies for always being a drag. So ?! New rule ! Unless I can say something nice ... yea, you got it, I won't say anything !
2) Gracie's appointment went well yesterday, she really likes our Doc, so she didn't move at all when he took out the stitches. She got a little teary with the last one, but was fine after. She did have to get her years shots though.... and was not happy at all about that !
3) Our Doc is such a sweetie, he wanted to know all about her birthday and how it was... he is so in touch ( is that what you call it ?) and he even gave Gracie and I a hug when we left. Awww, I always enjoy seeing him.
4) After we came home last night Adam and I really got into talking. It was a good talk and I felt that we made some sort of improvement.
5) After our talk we decided it was time to clean out the house. I started with Brittany's hair. She had looong bangs and was starting to wear it , well - quite frankley, it looked like a thug to me. So I told her if she did it again .. it was going ! So she did ... and last night... it went ! Bangs are actually nice and trimmed now. :O) I will have a pic tommorrow.
6) Next we went upstairs to the kids computer and cleaned it out, putting filters on and such. Seems as though we had gotten a bit to lienient with some of thier music lately, so it was all erased off of iTunes. We cannot allow the music that wants to degrade women, swear and portray thugs and such in the house... Britt was upset for like a second, and Jordan a bit more, but after a long talk, they understand now our position. I was glad. Next is the clothes they choose to wear. HA HA ! That is going to be fun ! :o)
7) After that, the discussion was more or less how next year after alot of careful consideration we do believe that trying to get the girls into the school at church would be best. To be honest, I have slacked - and was shocked that they knew so little about the Bible. It made my heart sad. I had to memorize it as a child ... so years ago I thought I knew it all and cared to much what others thought of me, so I chose to do it different. A choice I now regret. This is something I have struggled with and the home schooling thought too ... so I think it is best for awhile. My girls werent too shocked and seem ok with it too, so I am glad about that as well.
8) Only thing is ... We have to apply for a scholorship to the school because we cannot afford the tuition for them to go. We are hoping that it will work out, but if not the thought of homeschooling again is back or whether or not we want to keep them in regular school.
9) Jordan only has one more year of High school, so he is staying put. I do regret though not jumping at this years ago and doing these things many years ago though. I wish I could take it back.
10) OKAY --- So after all that last night, I made a new dish for dinner. I took some turkey - cooked it up and added some chili beans, cooked some spanish rice and then mixed it all up in a bowl ... putting it then in a pan and covering it with cheese. My kids really liked it, and covered it with sour cream and ate it with nacho chips. I guess we'll have it again sometime .. and I have no idea where the idea even came from. lol.
11) I want chocolate. Grrr, I don't have any. Maybe I will make some brownies - if the mix is still in there ! Uh oh- I better think about what we're eating for dinner first ! Whoops !
12) Tommorrow I have to go to a meeting about Hannah at school, Her special needs teacher wants to talk. As some of you may know she's been having alot of problems with school classes this year, so I am hoping this will help. I am going to make mention of our plans though, to see if we can get the ball rolling. If anything since I am without a doubt going to HS Cameron and Gracie, I can see if I can start learning with her. I am pretty clueless tough. After that maybe talk Adam into going to church ???? Well, hmmmm .... we'll see !
13) Well, I want to hang up the closet rod in the "ugly room" tonight ...so I am hoping that can get done. I am SO SORRRY this is sooo long, I was taking advantage of Gracie's nap taking !!! YIKES !!! I blabbered alot today. Guess I had something to say.WHHHHhoooops ! Guess it is better than being negative --- right ?????
Well, if you made it through all of that ... Bless your Little heart ! :O) lol ! Hope you have a good night !
TAMMIE
I'm glad Gracie was so good at the Dr.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for thinking of sending the kids to the school at church. I've thought about that too...but it's just so expencive. We'll have to see when the time rolls around.
Now I have a craving for Nacho's!!
1) oooo.....hard thing to say...it's too easy to get negative isn't it?
ReplyDelete2) awww..poor Gracie... my kids hated shots too....but what kid likes them?
3) Your doctor sounds great. We have a good one to. It's always nice to 'want' to go see your doctor! :)~
4) talking is good! ;P
5) sounds like cleaning the kids, not the house! LOL
6) It's good to sit and discuss with them WHY you do what you do. I think too many parents don't, they just take away the stuff and then the kids get really resentful. But, if you take the time to discuss your position, most are much more ok with it...
7) could be a great thing...
8) *keeping my fingers crossed for you on that*
9) no point in that. Things happen for a reason. Everything. It sounds like Jordan is turning out ok, really.
10) hmmm...a cook is born?
11) Oooo...chocolate sounds good. None here. darn.
12) Good luck with the talk!
13) I can understand that. I'm doing everything BUT what I should be right now, which is cleaning up this office so I can get pictures! LOL
Yep that's what ya call it, in touch and that's great! He has that bedside (or tableside?) manner that really makes it worth going back to every time.
ReplyDeleteI have had some doctors who have acted just DONE with you and like you are wasting their time. Not okay.
Sounds like a neat dish. Glad everyone liked it. I wish I could come up with stuff like that on the fly!
okay I could use some chocolate too....hmm we still have a pretty good stash of halloween candy left!
I hope you get the scholarship for the school change. Glad the kids took it so well!
No. Bless YOUR heart sweetie...haha

ReplyDeletePhooooey, I think ours was gone 3 days out ! LOL !
I did not know that !
ReplyDeleteYou must help ! lol.
WOW, I thought I was doing good getting 10 thoughts today! Those were great. Gracies DR sounds so sweet. Matt and Amanda had a DR like that. He said since he didn't have kids of his own he thought of all of our kids as his. I just loved him!
ReplyDeleteI baked M&M cookies today. If you lived closer I would run some over.
Have a great evening!
Glad to hear that the doctor visit went so well! Its always nice when you have a doctor that you like and someone who takes the time instead of rushing to get out of the room your in!
ReplyDeleteYEAHH for you on thinking positive!! I'm doing the happy dane for you!LOL:)
The recipe you create sounds really good! I'm going to have to write it down and try it sometime soon! I'm always looking for something thats fast and easy!
Sweet Dreams!((HUGS))
Dinner sounds YUMMY!!!! I'm glad you cut her hair...I can't blame you for wanting it to not look that way, not at all.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear your trying to be more positive. I know when life kicks ya it's hard, but sometimes you gotta just say ya know there's nothing I can do about this right now, but I'm not gonna let it get me down. Easier said than done, but that's how I try to cope, even though I'm not always successful. I almost HS'd J a few years back. She was having such a hard time and kids were mean, but she got through it and then had a great year with friends and a great teacher, and now she's enjoying middle school. You can certainly start with Gracie, getting her to reconize shapes, colors, things like that. It's never too early to start learning. Read to her..and point things out and tell her what they are, what color they are. ect ect.
