COLORS OF FALL
HELLO :O) my dear friends ! I have been busy as usual .... the yard sale was a hit ... we made just under five hundred total and I sold almost everything we had. I only had three medium sized boxes to drop at Goodwill. I was so happy to get rid of some things and make money too. we had so much furniture and stuff fom the other house to go .. and now since it is gone we have a lot more room. Which is really nice. So the day after ou yard sale it rained like a crazy fool outside .... and part of the garage ceiling caved in ... so all day Sunday we spent the day tearing the rest of it down and cleaning up that mess. We notified the landlord of the problem and he's going to pay us to re roof and paint the garage. I really wish it wasn't getting so cold out yet because I love being outside and doing things ... what a perfect opportuinity too ... mentioning heat ... looks like another year without. SIGH ... the people who used to live at this house did not pay any of their bills. So they came and shut off the gas, I called them once I figured out the issue and they said WE have bad credit and without a huge deposit of 700 dollars being made it would be staying off. Well sinceb we don't use credit and no longer have any savings .... their deposit is out of the question .. at no time do I jusy have 700 dollars to fork over to one place ... so a freezing we will go. Ahhh, not like we haven't done it the last two years at my old house .. so we'll get through it. I did call the place that gives assistance around here - but the closest appointment is November 26th ... and that is all she sais she could do. What TOTALLY blows about this happenening this time is that the water heater is gas and not electric like at the other house so, wowww showers have really, really, really been yukky nasty ! I am not looking forward to that much ... I usually am a shower hog !! One good thing tho ... water bill will be CHEAP ! haha. Well, besides that not too much has been going on. We still are without internet - just can't afford the install and I am still without my prescriptions. Yesterday my joints hurt so bad I wanted to cry. I couldn't even walk through Wal - Mart or change the batteries in one of Camerons toys he got for his birthday. :o) Oh well ... soon I am hoping to maybe geta job perhaps .. I dunno. The financial situation here just aint very good right now .. so something will be needing to be done. Speaking of Camerons birthday ... it wasthis last Sunday .. he was four. We really haven't done a lot for it.. but he was given a toy. Tonight however we are going to take him to Chucky Cheese for dinner. Adam hates Chucky Cheese ... and I will admit Im not to in like of it myself ... tooo too many rude and ignorant kids and parents ... we haven't been to CC's in dannng .... 10 years ?? Jordan and Brittany were really little yet ... so it has been a very long time .. but we thought he'd like it. :o) On another note Jordan has been begging me for two months to take him back home to Indiana to see his long time girlfriend. I guess their homecoming is this weekend and while the thought is nice after thinking on it for awhile we decided against letting him go. Well besides the fact that we can't afford it right now we just felt at 17 without a chapparone would bring too many temptations ... I know what you're all thinking... he is older than I was ... well, I am a hippocrite then .. sue me .. but I have tried to instill in my kids remaining pure till marriage. I know it is hard, I wanted to remain pure and save myself too .. but sweet talking words got the better of me ... so here I am today. :o) Anywhoodle .. I finally got some fall decorations up around the new place and Im luving seeing all the leaves starting to chance colors ... Monopoly is back at McDonalds and this year I hope to win more than a McFlurry. :o) Yall know I am the freak who basically lives in the mikey D's .. haha .. as much as we eat there - we should win something !!! MMM ... I love me some mikey D's !!! SOOOO ... that is pretty much all I have been up too ... hope if you read all that I didn't bore you're gourd ! I miss you all and I luv you guys ... I have been reading when I can; but hope you are all doing well. :o) Will blog again soon ! TAMMIE

It's good to hear from you, Tammie! Glad to hear the garage sale went well:) Sorry to hear about the roof and the heat thing though...not fun. Hope you can scrape some $$ together for at least warm showers.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Cameron!!! (I can't stand the pizza at Chuck E Cheese's, it tastes like cardboard!!) But the kids love it!!!
Keep your kids as pure as you can, for as long as you can!!! Who cares if you weren't perfect! (none of us are!) But if we can keep our kids on a good path, then we're doing something right! Best of luck to you!

ReplyDeleteSince you just had that garage sale and made over $400, can't you contact the gas co and tell them you can't afford $700, but you can bring them $400 in cash and see if they will grant you a lee-way on the remaining $300? I think that if you explained that your water heater is gas and that you have smal children to bathe, they may be understanding. Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteIs the landlord going to pay you up front to fix the garage? Don't agree to do it if he expects you to fork out the money for the repairs up front and he will reimburse you. You will never see the money. Make him pay you first and if he won't then tell him he needs to hire someone to do it. Again, just a suggestion.
I hope that you have a good time at Chuck E Cheese for Cameron's b-day!! :)

ReplyDeleteI hope you do get the money together for the deposit. It seems like way too much money for a deposit! There has got to be something someone can do, especially since you have babies to deal with.
I think you made the right decision with Jordan, and it doesn't make you a hypocrite at all....it just makes you a parent who wants better for your kids! :)~
Man, I don't understand the gas people. How can having bad credit affect your gas payments? That shouldn't be a factor. It's not like you were trying to get a credit card. This economy is tanking all over the place, isn't it? Some 90 yr old widow here shot herself when the police came to foreclose on her house. (She survived.)

ReplyDeleteThank you for the suggestions Potsy ... they are appriciated. However the money from theyard sale left about as quickly as it came. We paid the electric bill, water bill, filled the van with gas and bought some food and diapers ... SIGH ... it came in handy cuz I have so many bills that have to be paid right now that all our money is going to them. I despise owing people .. so it drives me crazy sometimes. As for the rent dude and the garage .. he mentioned just last night about us just taking it off the rent due to him ... which is nice, but I didn't think he thought the price was as much as it was when we went to look for the supplies ... I will be talking about it with him today sometime tho, but no, we won't do it before ... we are nice that way - but the sting from our first lesson still burns.
Hey Tammie!! It's so good to hear from u! Oh No..NO Heat again this year!..That Sux! I think whats even worse is the cold showers...I like a nice cool shower in the Summertime (I'm a shower-hog too) ..but not so much in the Winter..lol..especially as cold as it gets there. Do ya'll have a fireplace or some little heaters u can use? I'm gonna have to get used to Gas Heat now also..I've always had Electric..but the new house is Gas..I'll be putting that fireplace to use..now I just gotta get some wood. Looking forward to useing that...I've always wanted a fireplace. Hope u can get u some med.s soon..hate to hear you're feeling so bad. So Happy B-day to Mr. Cameron! Chucky Cheese sounds like fun..he'll love that...I haven't been there in years either. Don't blame ya on not letting Jordan go...if he had an adult w/him it would be one thing..but I wouldn't wanta let him go alone either. I put up some Fall Deco. up over the weekend too. We'll still be here for Halloween so I went ahead and put some stuff out on the porch...I just won't put out all the stuff inside like I normally do since we're moving. I saw where they're doing that Monopoly again too. I love McDonalds also! Yum-Yum! We have one within walking distance!! Well I guess I'm gonna go and read your next Blog now..lol. I used to bring the kids to Chuck E Cheese, just to let them get some energy out, during the winter. If I didn't buy any food, and just bought like $5 in tokens for skee ball, then they could play on the playscape while I read a book, it ended up not being too pricey.
I dont get the gas people, just doesnt make sense...I dont see how they can do that to you based on credit..its a flippin necessity!!

I instill those same values but life just happens sometimes..despite our bestest efforts. We do what we can while we can. I totally agree about the chapporone thing...you can never be too careful. I hope he understands.
I remember playing monopoly. i used love mcdonalds. one time ages ago i was one card away from winning a car...didnt happen.
