Ok, it is a hot one here today - I reeeely was trying to NOT turn on the air ... I wanted to try to save money on the electric bill, but about 1 pm.... I was going to die, I swear ! I caved ... I turned on the air !
And it isn't that it is all that hot (maybe 82 ?) even - but the humidity is what gets me ... man, I so hate sticking to everything ! I am sooo glad that we have central air, I know I would be an allergy ridden bag of steam if we hadn't. WHEW !
I grew up with out central air and always said there were two things I would never live without ... HA HA - one was central air - the other was a dishwasher ! :O)
Jordan is supposed to be mowing the yard today - we have the 2 acres that - well, um have to be push mowed cuz so far we don't have the money to buy a riding mower ... it was so hot this afternoon that I told him to wait till it cools off. I know Adam will have a fit over the fact that I told him not to mow - when he had told him to have it mowed by the time he gets home today - but another arguement will happen .. no news there. I am used to it anymore.
I didn't sleep to well last night ... like that is a shocker - but Grace woke up at 6:30 this morning all cheery, so who can resist playing with a cheerful baby !
Speaking of Gracie, she is wow - I don't even have a word for it ... maybe determined ... she is pulling herself up on everything now and even tried to stand on her own yesterday to which she fell over and bit her tounge. I am in amazement - I have never heard of a 7 month old doing that. When she sees something she wants - she tries everything she can to go get it. I will have to snap a photo of her doing this so you all can see her.
I wish I knew how to do a vlog, cuz I would do one. I don't have a camcorder anymore tho, but I do have two camera's... I still have no idea. Ummm, of course my computer doesn't show me others vlogs very well, I have to click and close like 20 times sometimes to make it work. :O(
OMG !!!! Hannah just asked me if the 4th of July was on the 15th .... I am sorry, but that is so funny, I cannot stop laughing !
Yea, speaking of July 4th ... :O( I am so sad. Usually every year we go somewhere different to watch the fireworks. We have been to Mt. Rushmore, (my personal fave) LA, San Fran, Grand Canyon, Chicago, New York, Indiana, Wis Dells - just to name a few .. the 4th of July is MY FAVORITE holiday EVER because we do that .... This year we really wanted to go to Washington DC. I mean how neat to see the fireworks and celebrate our country in our nations capitol. Right ?
Well, we just cannot afford to go on our usual trip with the gas prices as they are. It just is so stupid and unfair. I have been to DC before and I really liked it but it has been along time ago - before Hannah was born - and she was really looking forward to going. I was kinda hoping to make that part of her birthday present too - which we still haven't been able to do anything for, This just plainly sucks ! I still don't know what we'll end up doing, I am just depressed by it. :O(
OHH ....... I really should be cleaning the upstairs ...... Someone motivate me - QUICK !

HA! It's a hot one here too and I made David stop mowing the lawn before it was finished. lol He was suppose to get it finished too. Oh well......it's not going anywhere. lol
ReplyDeleteGas prices are ridiculous! That sucks about your 4th trip. Hopefully somewhere locally will do fireworks and you can go to them. That's better than nothing.

The chic is you cleaning the upstairs, the dude is Adam if he gives you lip about Jordan not mowing!Or for other motivation, just think if you get the upstairs done, it won't need done tomorrow.Or how about this? Think about how many people are in your house, how many germs could be picked up on their shoes and then lil Gracie starting to crawl around :O)I dunno, I'm just trying to think of something to motivate you.oh and if you get it done you have more time for your blog friends!!!P>S.My Mikey was walking shortly before he was 7 months (he looked like Frankenstein when he did!!) he was the only one out of the 4 to walk that early.

I was just driving home from work and thought to myself...it is HUMID today...so yea...it's getting to me too. But we do have central air. Yea, I didn't grow up with it but now that I have it I don't think I can go back.

It is humid and hot here too. Our air has been on for awhile becaue of our allergies!

Luckily today was beautiful. The last two days it was really humid and I broke down and turned the ac on in the living room.

god i wish it was an option to not have the air on. it averages about 100 degrees here... i would kill for it to only be 82!

ReplyDeleteGracie sounds so cute!! It is so fun to watch them try to get at stuff. Brenna was like that too...she rolled everywhere to get things...but not quite that early, go Gracie!
I never have the motivation to clean....or the time. I can find many other things I like to do better....hmmm...like sitting on my computer for one :-)
My air is on also....I can't take the humidty here in Japan.....I agree who can resist a cheerful baby....I am loving having a baby around again....HUGS tammie
ReplyDeleteI laughed at that. I grew up the same my parent's didn't put in air until I was like 19 and the dishwasher came when I was like 17 I think. I want air too but we still don't have air in our apartment. It gets super hot in the 90s but humidity is very low.
ReplyDeleteIt has been really Hot here too! 92-94 degrees! Last night it was still 85 degrees at 10pm..I was sweating to death just sitting out on the front porch! Yuk!..lol My AC has been running like crazy! We're upstairs..so it's even worse! I've got fans going in every room and everything trying to help..but by the afternoon the AC runs and runs and doesn't stop till the evening! I hate to see my next Electric Bill!..lol We always go see the Fireworks for the 4th of July too..actually they're having some nearby this Sun..we'll probably go watch em'. It's always fun! They do them up over the lake..it's really pretty! I know whatcha mean about the gas prices! We haven't been anywhere either because of it. Sux! Well anyways..hope u have a good day! Try and stay cool! I'll ttyl!

Fireworks in D.C. are pretty amazing, but it's crowded and there is no parking and it's HUMID as all get out down there! GAH! You know I'm from there, right? Anyway, make your OWN fireworks display! Go get some and set them off at home this year! I know what you mean about not being able to do stuff like you did before because of money. I totally feel you girl!

it cost my step dad 95 dollars to fill 1/2 his tank!!!
I bet the DC fireworks are pretty neat!! Kristin was bummed because we wont be there to see them...Um hello honey we are in the UK!! lol
