I hope everyone had a good weekend, it was kinda dull here weather wise - the temps have gone back down into the 30's and it has been spitting snow, thus fore not making me all that happy. :O( But then again - this IS Wisconsin !
So ... let's start the photo blog.
Friday we decided to finally go to the pet store to get some cat food and litter for Smokey Bones, look at the lizards, and buy more fish - since I wanted to get more for the tank. I love going to the pet store cuz they have the places you can look and see all the animals and stuff.... kinda like a mini zoo or something ... and Cameron gets a real kick out of it as well, I just love seeing his enjoyment at all of the neat things he sees.
(Smokey says ... "Ummm, pardon meeeeeee" ... )
However ... I can NO LONGER allow myself into the pet store ... and THIS is WHY .....
Yeeeeeaaa - - you got it, that is what came home with us.
........ Meet out new cats - OREO AND SHADOW.
They had a cage right by the fish tanks .... and on it was "FREE CATS" ..... "IN NEED OF A GOOD HOME"... well, the girls immeadiatly brought it to my attention, and how could I say no. ?!?!?!? I I wanted to and I will probably kick myself in the arse later for not having done so.... but .....
So, oh yea .... we didn't forget the fish .....
In my tank are the Pink Gorami's ... I like these best, they take little care and never seem to die on me .... and they eat less than a goldfish, a good thing since I am forever forgetting to feed them.
Speaking of Goldfish ...
My kids got a tank too ... 5 Fantail Goldfish (5 kids) so now they can look at thiers upstairs. But of course I had to decorate it to fit in ....
At my fave little primitive store here in town, check out what I found .... isn't it cute ?? HA HA - - - - I saw it and though to myself how funny it would be to scare everyone with it .... oh that was a blast !!!! Good thing this pet wasn't real though ...
Anyway - if I EVER go to the pet store again, I want to get a Bearded Dragon ... they are kinda like a Gecko ... but SOOO cool !

HOW can you not want to take EVERYTHING home you see ??? They had a most adorable little black dwarf rabbit for 50 dollars, awesome hampsters, and cute birds .... I WANT to LIVE there peoples !!!!!!
So - - - moving on ...
Last week was Jordans last days for working - he wasn't making that much and quite frankly it was costing us more or just the same in gas to get him there anymore, so we made him quit the job. With his last paycheck and a bit of a "loan" - he decided to buy a Wii. Here are the guys playing it....
Well sorta - - my camera was being REALLY possessed by some demons or something, but here are some other neat photos from that experience.

ReplyDeletei miss having fish sometimes. I used to have a 55 gallon tank full of fish and it was so relaxing to just watch them.
We checked out a bearded dragon the last time we were at petsmart last week and they really are very cool and ancient looking, definately fast on their feet too!
Glad Jordan got a wii, ive heard they are really fun, so i bet he will love it!

2 new kitties!!! FUN! We used to have quite a few pets, but I have trouble dealing with the loss!! So I'll stick to my 1 kitty, 1 bunny household!
ReplyDeleteAs for the weather...I'll send some of this UNBEARABLE heat your way!! We hit about 95 today, but have a cooling trend the next few days (Mid 70's) So I will like that a bit better!
Yay on the Wii...we have on too! Sadly they are addicting, but atleast you have to move to play!!

ReplyDeleteI have to ask for Smokey bones sake ... did the pet store tell you where the kitties came from? Have them tested for all those dangerous contagious kitty diseases so they didn't get passed on to Smokey. Especially if they were free in a pet store ...

I have to say, I'm a weeee bit jealous you guys got a Wii. I can't bring myself to pay the money, but they do look like tons of fun! Much funner than the ps2 we have (but we got that free w/ games so I can't complain!)
If I got a job at the pet store - I would for sure have a zoo at my house, I think EVERYTIME I worked I would be bringing something home ! LOL !
ReplyDeleteAll the pet stores are in LaCrosse, and I would work there, but gas now is way more than I would make, so it is pointless. Grrrrr !
and the Wii, it's ok, but video games just really aren't my thing... it is the kids mainly - thanx to Jordan. Although I will admit I do like the old games like Frogger,Kaboom or Pac-Man .... those were fun !!! I also like the original Mario games too .. I miss those.
Oh what cute kittens! Love the name Oreo, and fits it so well. lol I am a animal lover/freak too and wish I could keep everything I come across, well almost. Love all the pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteoh u sound like me..bringing home all the animals..lol..drives my Husband crazy!..lol We have cats, a dog, birds , and fish..so I can completely relate!..lol The Kittens r just adorable! And the Fish Tank is so pretty! A friend of mine has the Wii..I played it once..it is so much fun! It rained here all day yesturday..can't believe u r getting snow again!..just stayed around the house and watched the race. I thought for a min. Gordon was gonna get it there at the end..till Kyle came over and blocked him!..Grrr!..Well it was a good race anyways..Talladega always is! Next week is a night race..luv those! Well hope u have a good Mon.! Enjoyed the videos..like all those songs..especially that LeeAnn Rimes one. ttyl! Huggers!

ReplyDeleteNow this is where we differ...I go into a pet store and can't wait to get out. I like animals but haze little to no desire to own one. I fear as a snigle woman in her 30's, I will become obsessed and be 'the woman who talks to her dog like a child'....and we cna't have that.
Also, wth was up with your camera? That haze around everyone was weird!
Omg...you are so like me! Especially since they were free...how could you say no! And ya picked up two to boot! Ha! I so want a bearded dragon too...or a snake..but have yet to get one. I've got quite a zoo going on as it is. See the place I stay away from is the shelter. Cause I know..if I go in..I may walk out with something furry that barks! At least at the pet store the dogs are so outrageously priced..I can't get one. The shelter is another story! Glad to hear things are going ok with you. I'll try to be around more. It's been just a crappy time with me. Your blog reminds me..I need to clean my fish tank!!
