My SCHOOL DAZE in pictures ....

(Preschool - 1979) Ok, ok, ok ... I finally am doing this one .... here goes.

Go to kindergarten?  Well yes, I wasn't aware that you couldn't go. I can remember everything... My teachers name was Mrs. Parente, she was so tall to me and had grey hair...I can remember singing "It's a small world", a school play we did, I remember that a boy named Allan Shutko had a crush on me and would write me love letters on green and white computer paper. I can remember making things for the holidays and baking pumpkin seeds to eat ... Kindergarten was so much fun .... I loved it -- can you tell ?! Here is a picture of me in Kindergaten:

  Graduate from high school?  Sadly - no. School wasn't hard for me - but being around people was, I hated to go, after I met A and got pregnant with Jordan we got married and he joined the Army - we left for Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey soon after.

 

Go to college?  No. But I would love too. I love being intellectually stimulated ... the only thing that stops me is the money it would cost ... I cannot afford ANY.

Get straight A's in school?  I got good grades, but not strait A's. I cannot do math .. AT ALL. Even still and that is a big downfall for me. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE science and all the other classes and did good in them - I got A's and B's ... well, except for in Home Ec - because I wanted to take auto shop and my parents wouldn't let me, it was too boy-ish and I was a girl. I hated home - ec !

Go to prom? NO

 

Take part in extracurricular? In 7th grade, I was in band for a year, I played the Clairinet, I was in choir too and I was always in swimming. That was it, I wanted to be in lots of other things, but either I was not allowed or I didn't feel comfortable with it enough to actually do it.

Miss a lot of school? No ... but I sure wanted to.

 

Have a favorite teacher?  oH YES, The only teacher I ever had that gave a rats ass about me was Miss Creviston .... she was my middle school art teacher. She is the only teacher that would make the kids stop teasing me in her class and we became really good friends. She taught me how to french braid hair and do all kinds of neat things .... she also had a photography class that I did as well, it was so much fun. She got married then moved away. I think of her alot.

Go to football games? OH HELL NO

Enjoy pep rallies? I did go to one .... I wanted to fit in so bad, but I just got made fun of - so I never went back to any others again.

Know what you wanted to be when you grew up?  Yes, I wanted to go to the Olympics for swimming and/ or diving ... it was my only real love in life. 

Pack your lunch or buy?  When I was little it was packed everyday ... however, when my mom got sick I can remember eating hot lunches a few times and sometimes not at all. My Dad didn't care nor did we have the money. In HS  - I just chose not to eat. I had to stay skinny to swim faster.

Like gym class? . Well, I actually did in elementary school and then again in HS, but in Middle school I hated it because I was made fun of horribly and I had asthma and couldn't run the mile .... which we ran ALL THE TIME !

 

 Have a bunch of friends in school? NO.    I had NO friends.      NONE.        I had aquaintences and they were only like two or three people. 

Fit into a clique like jock, stoner, geek, etc? NOPE .... I was always alone, like I said I had NO friends. 

 

Have a nickname in school? Yes, many - but I prefur not to share them.

Get picked on in school? E.V.E.R.Y.D.A.Y !!!! 

I litterally got beat up a few times a week, no one cared except the art teacher, I had teachers watch me get beat up and two teachers told me to kill myself .... I had things thrown at me and clothes ripped. I had a bottle of Nair dumped on my head in 9th grade and lost some of my hair because of it. I cried myself to sleep every day - I tried to commit suicide 7 times... does that tell you anything.

 

Have a favorite subject? Science/ Biology, Art, English, geography, history ... ok - anything but Math.

 

Have a least favorite subject? Ummmmmmm - Math.

Go to graduation? No

 

Have a crush on anyone in school? Yes, One guy named Kevin Pennington. I liked him starting in the 5th grade and liked him till I met A in HS..... I never liked anyone else. Kevin and I were aquaintances, but that is it. Weird thing is ... A and Kevin share the exact same birthday - April 6th. lol.

Go to any class reunions?  NO ! Why would I want to go to remember the horror that was my life then ... I hated school, I hated life. The last thing I would want to do is to remember it.
