FIVE FOR FRIDAY AND PICTURES TOO !

Ahhh, finally a second to sit down and get the thoughts out of my head today....

I will start by saying that it is still dreary and rainy here - occasionally it has been spitting snow ... here is a look out my door yesterday ....

My cat; Smokey says, "NO .... I'M the baby" !!!! .....

Here is Gracie today, the REAL baby in our house :O)

Do you see what was in my yard the other day ?! Can you say EEE- ewwwwwwww ! Ok, ya' know spring is here somewhere when the stinky critters come out !

Spring cleaning is bound to get here sooner or later ... I bought a HUGE 'do it all' label maker, which will gladly help me marrily on my way. :O) Oh, how I love to label EVERYTHING !!! lol.

.... and Finally, Cameron got a haircut ! This was his first time in a chair to get it done, usually I do it at home, but I had a coupon, so I took advantage of it. He was such a good boy too !!! It so needed to be done, but I seriously am not at all used to it yet. I never cut it that short, but it will grow back... In the meantime ... I am missing his hair !!

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Right now I am snacking on pretzels to try to solve my munchies, but it just isn't hitting the spot. I tried really hard yesterday to stay under 2000 calories, but by the end of the day, I had just gone over it by like 300. That is not ok with me. I cannot expect the "diet" to work, if I am not willing to try. :O(

Well, I guess with that, I need to go make dinner for everyone ...

I HOPE YA'LL

 !!!!!!

I'll write soon ...

  2. oh try not to be so hard on yourself. Eating right is a learnt behaviour and not something you will be perfect at from the start. By the way where did you find out about what your caloric intake should be anyway? I always heard that 2000 calories is to maintain your weight where it is. The dietician told me women should only consume around 1400 or 1500 to lose weight. (talk about hard, that is what i do everyday :(

  3. Those are great pictures! Cameron's hair looks really good! I love his new cut!
I think I heard 1500 too...You can eat that much though if you start an exercise plan. I know its too cold for you to walk still but you could get some workout tapes free from your library. I did that for a while. If your body isnt used to regular fitness then it will come off quickly...
Dont be hard on yourself..its NOT easy by any means!! HUGS

  4. HOLY WHAT ?????? 1500 ??? Dang, I had a small box of frosted flakes, plain no milk, a yogurt and a soda and that was like 500 .... and that was just breakfast ... OH MY GEEZE !!!

I don't know where I heard that, I just figured that since the food stuff says based on a 2000 calorie diet that I shouldn't go over that... my god, this is going to be even harder than I thought !!!!! :O(

    THANK YOU PICKLE :o)

  5. Cameron's hair looks great! I love how the kitty takes center stage! HAHA!!! We had a skunk in the fall...at least he didn't spray. Eeeewwwww....

  6. I love the hair!! :)

    Skunk? Not so much!!

  7. Cameron's haircut make his eyes look HUGE. I'm surprised that he was that good...usually kids his age are NOT okay with sitting in a big chair letting someone else comb and cut their hair! What a great little kid!
Gracie is beautiful! When it's warmer are you going to put dresses on her? I love baby dresses!
I also love your yard....it's homey, or something? It looks like it's a good place to play...I like it because it's flat, I guess.
Keep on exercising...errrr. that was a DIET soda for breakfast, right?

  8. I'm afraid to check my calorie intake. I'd probably cry. Of course, it might actually HELP me stop eating so much.......

Cameron looks like a different boy! He's so cute and grown up looking now! :)~

I'm feeling extra bad for ya now, because we've had nice weather all week, and everyone up north is still stuck in winter.... ;( poor thing.

  9. Sugar Free/Fat Free Jello and Cool Whip Free. That is curbing my cravings. There's something about coolwhip on a dessert that seems sinful, even if it's not.

  10. My Mom is more afraid of skunks than she is afraid of wild bears (they live in butt Fork Egypt). She has a story about trying to be a 'skunk whisperer', to get one off her land!

Cameron looks so much older with his new haircut. Adorable!

I love pretzels! I love them even more dipped in honey mustard! hehe. I agree with Chali on the jello and cool whip. yum! Also, those little pudding cups are like 90 calories per serving. Fruit, veggies, even light microwave popcorn is great snacks, too!

  11. OK, reading the comments. How many sodas do you drink in a day? I bet just cutting that out would make a huge impact on your caloric intake!

  12. Oh yeeeea .... that. Well, I know that is a big problem ... it is like my kinda coffee I guess. Yesterday I did ok with 3 - every meal. But today I had 4 and I am pretty upset at myself for it. I have tried regular water, flavored water for the non caloric drinks, and koolaid or lemonaide for some with the same amount of calories as soda. I just don't like water too much - no matter how hard I try.

I know it don't make any sence to try to lose weight and not stop drinking the sodas ... I am trying --- it is just very hard. My usual intake used to be much more than 3-4 cans. More like 7 or 8 a bit more than a year ago.

Excuses, excuses ... I'm like a soda druggie - a crack whore with sodas ... why are sodas so conveinient ? I gotta stop buying them, but I think I'll have withdrawls . lol. :O(

  13. SEE - yea - that is my problems, I don't eat alot or eat junk ... it's either the sodas or eating out - another bad, bad habit of mine :O(

  14. In a way, I think I'm lucky in that I never really developed a taste for soda. I mean, I like them fine, but it's not my preferred drink, and I rarely ever finish one.

Eating out...now that's a hard one! :)~ We do that too often as well, even when we keep telling ourselves we are going to quit...it's just so convenient! I had Taco Bell today. Sigh.

  15. I LOVE Sugar free Jello and Pudding and that helps me. Sadly I can't buy either of those things in Australia so I try and have friends send them to me. I don't get them often so its a special treat when I do.

  16. Have you tried coke zero or diet pepsi? Those generally only have 1 calorie. I think Sprite Zero might have 4.

  17. Diet Dr. Pepper is the best diet of all!

  19. OK .... WINDI: eating out ISSSS WAY to conveinient, and more than half my problem !!! :)

PAM: Are you kidding me ??? They don't have jell-o or pudding in Oz either ???? WTH ? No, twinkies, snack cakes, jello or puddings ... sincerely that is weird ! But they have VEGEMITE ???..... yeeea, not tried it, but heard it is nasty. But then lots like it there too. I bet the country isn't very fat like the US is.

PAM AND RIKKI: I usually buy the Wal- Mart brand Soda because it is cheaper, but I am VERRRRRY picky about taste and I only like regular soda's, like Pepsi or Coke. I can tolerate Sprite - but just every now and then. I can't drink diet cuz some some nutra sweet in them and I am allegic to nutrasweet. :O(

Did you kow diet soda have Aspartamine in them ???? It is a form of rat poison.

  20. Tammy: You're grilling out ? For the love of God !!! oh and, Kyle Busch won the race last night - god how I hate him. He needs a bigger head - right ?

I don't know why my BG is doing that - I will have to check it out. Windi mentioned it too.

  21. My mom won't drink anything with aspartame either. I figure, I drink, I smoke, what's 1 more poison in my day? =P You could try the sodas sweetened with splenda though.
Those are quite good. Someone mentioned Coke zero and Pepsi one. I can't remember which is which, but I know at least 1 of them is sweetend with splenda, which is aspartame-free and saccharin-free.

  22. PS. Your background is broken. =(

  23. GRRRRRR ...... STILL. Dang it - I wonder why it looks ok for me. Well, now I'll have to change it :O(

I'll give those other sodas a try. :O)

  24. That's what happens to a lot of people. They see eevrything fine, but we see "bandwidth exceeded" from photobucket. Beats me!

  25. That was short. But like you said it does grow back and it looks good. Oh yeah the skunks I tell people all the time they are the state flower here in TN. You smell them everywhere. YUCK
