MY RAK ...

What a good idea .... if you've not heard of this - it means RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS.  Basically we start doing things like this and every Monday we share what we've done or witnessed throughout the week.

MY RAK...

The other day while at Aldi's picking up my endless supply of milk, Alady while checking out didn't have enough money for her bill. Now, you can tell that what she had was actual needed stuff. like milk, eggs, kids juice boxes .... and she had three little ones with her. I have been there - a couple times ... so I  thought to myself.... I HAVE the amount she needed .... what would I do with it anyway... sure I could go treat myself to ice cream or McDonalds for lunch, but why ???? Sure, I could buy some other useless something or other for whatever reason, but instead I gave it to her and she'd paid her bill. Her mouth almost hit the floor, I could see she was shocked, but I knew what it felt like, so I wanted to help.

on a witness RAK - I've had a certain person making my days a little brighter, they've been chatting to me for some time now and just by doing so, it has made my days so much nicer. Most of you know that I don't make friends too easy and also have little people or friends that I chat to regularly, It is nice to have someone to chat with the understands kids, laundry, cooking, running errands .... I sure never expected this friendship, but from my point of veiw, by this person reaching out and talking to me it was the best RAK I've experienced lately !

I FIND THIS PRETTY EXCITING - I CAN'T WAIT TO DO MORE AND TELL YOU GUYS ALL ABOUT IT.

SO NOW IT IS YOUR TURN !!!!

SHOW US YOUR RAK !

If everyone did this at least once a week, just think how awesome this world would be!!

  6. Oh what a fun thing to do! I will be looking forward to each Monday reading about these!! What a lovely thing you did for that lady and the fact you had the right amount. I have to tell you a story from me. I had to go pay the tabs on my husbands car. I parked in a 20 minute parking spot. Was in and out of the office in no time flat. That was a shock in itself. Johnathan was with me so he wanted to hit the dollar store. So we did. By the time we left I am positive that we had been parked there more then 20 mintues. I wanted to go to Hobby Lobby and thought should I move my van?? Something told me nope just go to the store. I did but wondered if I should of moved my van. When I was done in the store and got back to my van there was a man parked next to me. He had his hood up and needed a jump. I happen to be there just at the right time to give him jump. So then I just smiled and knew why I didn't move my van. I was parked in the perfect spot for my vehicle to reach his.
    Hugs to you

  9. That was a very nice thing to do. I actually don't get out much except to go to work. But I am going to make an effort to do random acts of kindness, even if it is just in the workplace. Take care my friend.

  11. You did good darlin ! Mostly it's the little things that mean a lot to people . I work for the phone co. and go in poeple's homes everyday form the richest to the poorest. Ive been from a mansion on a hill with vineyards and crystal table settings and marble pillars inside and next to a Govt apt or an elderly lady on welfare. Makes me feel good to give a little extra to the one's that really cant afford it and believe me,they appreciate it a lot more than the rich one's do . What goes around comes around they say
