HI guys ! I have some questions today, that I was hoping maybe you guys could help me answer - hopefully this won't take long though. :O)
1) DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CHANGE YOUE PROFILE NAME HERE ? Under my little pic, the one that shows up when I comment on others' pages it says 'flthrtl2004' .... well, I don't want it to say that, I want it to say my name.
2) HOW DO YOU GET INFANTS SOCKS TO STAY ON ? I've never had this problem with my others - Gracie just kicks them right off - lol ! ALL THE TIME !!! I know it is silly, but I have alot of cute outfits that I don't put her in much because her socks always come off - it is too cold to not have her wear any. Any tips ?
3) HAS ANYONE HEARD OF AND/OR EVER TRIED THIS ? On Good Morning America this morning I heard where that if you spray new tennis shoes with spray starch they don't get dirty .... I wear tennis shoes wherever I go, only shoes I wear, but hate when my new ones get dirty.
4 )ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO POTTY TRAIN A CRAZY WILD ABSOLUTELY INSANE 3 YEAR OLD LITTLE BOY ????
5) ANYONE GOT ANY GOOD IDEAS TO MAKE DINNERS THAT ARE CHEAP, HEALTHY, NON TIME CONSUMING, DON'T MAKE AN UNGODLY MESS AND ARE YUMMY FOR A FAMILY OF 7 ? IDEAS FOR TODDLERS TOO ???? (like lunches ?)
6) ok - ANY GOOD IDEAS FOR CHORE CHARTS/IDEAS FOR KIDS OF VARIOUS AGES ? (we have a 16, 13, 10 and 3 year old here and need something new !)
7) HOW DO YOU STOP DRINKING SO MUCH SODA ? - I'M ADDICTED ! it makes me gain weight and I gotta stop, errr, just can't - it's like my coffee ! Do they have a patch for it ? lol.
8) HOW DO YOU CLEAN THE LINT TRAP IN THE DRYER ? I mean, mine goes in the top of the dryer and all the lint - never - comes off, it is all stuck on badd now - any ideas ? Water just makes it worse.
9) OMG - HOW MUCH LONGER TILL WARM WEATHER ? aaack, I almost can't take it anymore !!!! I wanna get out in the beautiful sunny warm days so bad !
10) WHY AM I ADDICTED TO BLOGGING ? Lol ... ok, so maybe that is a funny question !!!
Well, that is all for now, didn't think I had that many, really - wow ! Ok, I gotta go make lunch for the little terrorizer of my house ! Ugh, I will be back later ~

#4 ~ We are working on that here too. He's done pretty good so far. For him, the bigger of a deal you make out of him going on the potty the better. High 5's, me jumping up and down...stickers....that sort of thing. We also started a chart for him with magnets (not the ones in my blog today) and he gets a big magnet on his chart not a small one when he uses the potty all day. I found the chart at Target.
ReplyDelete#5 ~ My kids like Tater-tot casserole. Very easy. A pound or so of ground beef browned and drained (and seasoned) mixed with a can of corn and a can of cream of mushroom soup. Put frozen tater tots in a 9x13 pyrex dish and pour the beef mixture on top. Sprinkle with cheese (if you like cheese) and pop in the oven for about 20 minutes.
We also do the "mommy special"...that's what the kids call it. Ground beef cooked and drained mixed with corn, peas (whatever canned veggies you like...sometimes I even put in diced tomatoes) and two cups of rice. It makes a ton!
#6 ~ What do you need the kids to do or not do, and I can help you with the charts! We are VERY chart oriented here!

My sister used cheerio's in the toilet and would try to get him to "AIM" for the cheerio's in the potty!

We like chicken soft tacos
add taco seasoning to cooked and diced chicken breasts then add to tortillas. Use a variety of condiments like avacado (really healthy), onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes...

Switch to water with lemon. I drink 32 oz a day and in the summer 64 like we are supposed to..i also like green tea!

As soon as I sat him down and told him I didn't care anymore if we went into the potty or not, it took maybe 3 or 4 days, and it was done. Seriously. But I guess it depends on why he's not potty training. For Calvin, it wasn't that he didn't know what to do, it was that he just didn't want to because it was important to me...

My sister just has a chore list which rotates between her four kids (ages 12-16) That way the kids don't do any one chore longer than a week. I'm one of those 'bad mommies' who just finds it easier to do it myself rather than fight with the kids....I know, I know, they need to learn responsibilities and all that.....

Wow you had a lot of questions the other day! I wish I could help you with them but I am not that good! LOL I do know for the socks I would get the ones that had the ribbed around the top. They seemed to stay on better then the straight ones, does that make since?? LOL Oh the Spray starch would be awesome if it works never tried but wondering now. I was going to say Tator tot casserole but you've already tired that. I have a recipe for a Chicken Deluxe that the kids love. As far as the charts, I do them with my kids. They get chips for completing stuff for the day and then when they fill there chart up. I also have a list of things they can turn their chips in. They have to uses chips to play video games and watch movies. It's neat to see if they will not do those things and just save them up for a bigger treat. They really like it. I let the weekends be free for video games and movies, not to much but they have to use the chips during the week days. Oh I wish I knew the answer to the warm weather! I am so ready!! ReplyDeleteI thought of this recipe the kids might like and it's inexpensive too. "Bologna Cups!" My friend Mark's Grandma come up w/this idea. Fry up your bologna, make some mashed potatoes, After u fry the bolgna...get out your muffin pan and put a slice in each cup, to make like a little bowl...then spoon some mashed potaoes in each one...put some shredded cheese on top of each one. Bake in the oven on like 350 to melt your cheese and waa-laa!...Bologna Cups! They r soo good!

ReplyDeleteHey tammie on the dinner Ideas... here is a casserole... brown 2 lbs of ground beef drain and put in a 9x9 dish mix with 2 cans of tomatoe sauce a can of corn and a can of mushrooms ( if you like) then put a layer of mashed potatoes on top like icing a cake then stick in oven at 350 for about 25 minutes... and serve with some bread and butter... my kids eat it up.. I have a chart from Target I use for my kids chores... can't help with the socks on infants I had the same problem.. I use my vaccumn on my lint catcher cause mine too is on the top of my dryer....I hope I helped you some.
