WHATS HAP- NIN ?

HELLO EVERYONE .... HAPPY FRIDAY !

Well hello ! Finally I think that I have a chance to do a real blog. lol. Pic today is of Gracie this afternoon. She was all smiles and fun !

So - what's been happening here you ask ? Well, lots - so guess that's why I've not had time to sit and do anything more than a question blog ... but you all know I just gotta check in ... lol. :O)

Anyway, The week has gone by pretty fast and started out with us having the heat appointment with energy assistance on Tuesday. All went well, but we still do not have the heat. We've had to forward the lady there our papers several times during the week because of someone forgetting something or her saying she couldn't read one set of them. As of right now, she says that we DO qualify - however - it could take up to two weeks before we get the heat we need. I thought that was kinda dumb, but according to her, we don't rank in priority range - also - we have to be able to pay the old bill of 550 dollars first to the propane place. Now in all honesty, I don't know when I can do that because I have a whopper of an electric bill to pay when we get paid along with ordinary normal bills .... so I dunno what is really going to happen with this, I am supposed to call her tommorrow to see how things are going. I will let you all know what happens. Seriously though, we've made it this far and were fine ... maybe I should just deal with it - gotta be better than this pain in the arse stuff .... geeze, I swear, why does it have to be such a hastle ????

Can you believe it is February already ???? Holy cow ! Where has the time gone ? I can't wrap my mind around the fact that Gracie will be 3 months old already on the 9th ! I will be sooo very glad when spring gets here and since it is already February, I know realistically, it isn't that far off. Last year - I swear it seemed to take forever to just get through winter ! and ? lest I forget ! 17 days till DAYTONA baby !!!! Wooooo hooo !!! 

Hannah's SN-IEP appointment was yesterday morning and it went well ... not too many complaints. I do feel though that in all honesty she will NOT be ready for 6th grade in the fall - not academically, socially or mentally. With her problems she is more in a third grade mind set sometimes so both her father and I are seriously thinking about having her retained in 5th grade for another year. The teachers here in Wisconsin though disagree with me and say to just keep her going. This is going to have to take alot of thinking, I want to do what best benifits her. She has to have her yearly MRI scheduled yet, so maybe they can enlighten me to any change that has gone on that outwardly we cannot see. Hopefully that will help.

We were supposed to have had a blizzard here the other day ... atleast that is what they were calling it anyway ... but to me, it was a few flakes of snow - some realllly strong winds and serious wind chill. The kids had two days off school actually - which was a suprise, as it never usually happens. It was nice to have them here as I always say, but it was cold in the house - so I felt bad and I am sure they would have rather been at school. The power here was off shortly as well as the internet. Weird weather though ----- I swear, what is up with it ? One minute it is 30 then it was -30 .... then the other day it was 45 even ... then back down to -20 and sub zero's again ... and tommorrow it is supposed to be 35 again ..... WTH ? I bet we all get a cold from all this - suprised we haven't already.

Still have to call to get our taxes done, haven't had time thus far to call ...  With everything being closed around town here this week, no one has been around. I spent all day Sunday sorting and organizing/filing papers and our reciepts .... I will be so glad to get a refund, we so need it this year !

Can you believe that I finally got our Christmas things totally down - just last week ?????? Yeeea, I've been busy. It is so hard to do things sometimes ... Gracie absolutely HATES to be sat down, and I have tried litterally everything, so I find it hard to get some things done around here. Ya'll know I am not much a sitter anyway, staying still just isn't my style. I always have to be doing something .... but I got all that down, organized, re-organized and packed away. We used to have about 10 or 11 holiday boxes and I got it down to I think 7 now. They are all in Rubbermaid totes, so it worked out nice = plus this year we bagged everything too, so we'd have no mold issues like last year.What I didn't want we ended up taking to Goodwill - hopefully someone will get good use from it.

Well, I think that is all I have to say for now ... suprisngly enough. So since it is only 1 AM right now and not my usual 5 AM when I write, I may actually get to sleep or be able to watch some old shows. I have no laundry to catch up on for once - so I'm off ....
