Well, as I have wanted to - as I am adding things to my page here; I decided to share a list of my all time movies ever tonight in my review area. I figured what a great way to get to know someone and what they like. A good thing this site has that 360 didn't - or atleast not in this manner.
I; however left out my MOST fave movie of all time though - so I could include it with this blog and also so I could say more about it. That movie is TOMBSTONE.
This movie; made in 1993, stars Kurt Russel as Wyatt Earp, Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday, Dana Delany as Josephine Marcus and Bill Paxton and Sam Elliott as the Earp brothers; Morgan and Virgil .
Whenever it is on ... my kids give me a resounding " Oh, noooo - not THIS movie again" ! ... or... "You're watching that again " ????????
Now, do not ask me just why I love this movie so much, I just do. This movie (for me) is one you can watch over and over without getting sick of and honestly, I probably and quite litterally HAVE watched it well OVER 1000 times.
It COULD be that I have come to like this movie so well because I just love true stories or movies based on real life experiences, it COULD be because I just loved (and still do) to read and learn all about Wyatt Earp. It COULD be because I love THIS particular time period in life and the old west. It COULD be because -um- Kurt Russel is in this movie (yum-o) or perhaps it's Val Kilmer. It also could be because all of the actors did such a wonderful job making this movie and portraying thier characters ....... regardless, what ever it is .... TOMBSTONE IS my ALL time FAVE movie EVER !
Well, thought someone would love to read this and enjoy getting to know me. I hope that you all have a very wonderful day today !!!
TAMMIE
(If we ever have another son - his name will be Wyatt.)
(I'd love to get me a Wyatt Earp "Peacemaker" ....)
(Can't wait to actually visit Tombstone in AZ.)
Don't smack me......
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this movie!
Gasp! I know, I know! But I'll tell you why if you'll just take a few deep breathes and listen! LOL
It came out right after Matt and got married, and during the time when I wouldn't go see a western even if everyone said it was good. I didn't think I liked westerns.
Fast forward a few years, and I realize I do like 'good' westerns--by that I mean movies that are good even though they are 'westerns'. There are some people that automatically claim all westerns as good just because their genre....
However, Tombstone had come and gone, and I never put it on my list of movies to see.....I just never got around to it.
I'll have to do that though! :)
LOL WINDI ... "I'll be your huckleberry" ..... you probably don't get that, watch the movie .... now ! lol !
