Is there no one you know you can stay with or can't you call the Salvation army? I had to rely on a city mission to eat when I just went through it all, sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do to take care of your babies. Staying there like that with a newborn cannot be good for her. You need to start making calls, swallow your pride, it's not an easy task but we sometimes have to do what we have to do for the best interest of our little ones. That place for oil is through Citizens, ONE TIME DELIVERY OF 100 GALLONS

I'm not sure if that covers propane or not, but being you have 5 kids I know LIHEAP And CRISIS is in your area because it is a FEDERAL program and they will bump you up as emergency status because of all the kids you have. You really have to call someone ... NOW!
Does that fact that you have a baby help in anyway to the propane company? I am so sorry you guys are cold...I know its not easy but you guys need some heat! I agree with the comment above..do what ya have to go girl...its going to be okay! Gosh I have never experienced cold like that....please be careful and do what you can! Keep us posted! you are in my thoughts!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you -keep in touch and keep warm as you can maybe it be over soon!Cant last too mych longer -the weather's gotta warm up . Just noticed the ad on your page is for fish aquariums
ReplyDeleteI was complaining because it's down to zero here...I hope you can get some help soon. I went to Walmart one year when I was having trouble at my old house getting fuel. I bought some of those oil electric space heaters. Love them! I sectioned off parts of the house I didn't need and kept it near my water pipes of course, and I kept the electric oven warming the house. It helped. Sorry you are dealing with this crap, it is not good. Some electric blankets will help a little but not much in those temps. Please, let me know how you are doing. I know we just met but I feel for you. I had my electric go out in temps like that 20 years ago and it froze all my fish too, so I know what you are dealing with right now.
ReplyDeleteunfortunately, I don't think it matters to them if u have kids or not, dang, I have heat here and its stll cold in here. I could never live without heat, don't know how you are doing it. Stay warm hon.
ReplyDeleteOh yikes on it being -31! Yikes you poor thing!! I am so sorry about your fish also! How sad is that!! Hugs to you!!!
ReplyDeletethat is Celsius thank goodness! I took a second look and see the Fahrenheit below .... which is still COLD!
ReplyDeleteHEY ... that is fahrenheit, not celcius. The pic is from Yahoo on my computer. No way - I had to take that pic, in actual temp I have NEVER seen it that cold in all my years, wasn't gonna miss that one. Funny tho - being that cold, I went outside for a second and it fools ya' cause immeadiately it don't feel that way, but after a few seconds it hits you. Kindalike heat in the summer. I know I just had to experience it tho, I am that way. I don't plan on living here forever and wanted to know.
ReplyDeleteI know Mike's family is in North Dakota not far from Canada and when we went to visit as soon as we'd get so far into Wisconsin we started to get cold! It was like that the rest of the way, and we left here in PA wearing fall stuff no coats. Oh were we miserable!!
