AHHHHHH, the lovely-ness of being back home ...or not so much anyway. I am purely one person who loves to be gone. I am putting up some photos tonight of our first day in South Dakota (July 2nd), but the rest I will do in the morning. I really don't know why - but this time the car ride and my aching back have just about wore me down. The trip seemed to take forever this time and the temp's were over 100 a few days, thus along with our extremely NOISY menonite tent neighbors from someplace in Kansas and the drunks from the great state of Wisconsin meant that we did not get alot of rest most of our nights there, but all and all the trip was fairly good with not toooo many complaints. Upon our first stops after the KOA at Mt Rushmore and getting everything set up at our site, eating, taking a shower etc. we headed out by Rapid City to check it out and stopped at the "Old McDonald's petting zoo" on the way back, mainly done for Cameron as he LOVES animals soo much and freaks out with joy at seeing them. Of course our 15 year old son was less than delighted with it, but the rest of the kids had a great time !
First we have Cam feeding what he referred to as the "qwak- qwak's" ...
Second is Cameron with this goat that he just fell in love with, he wanted to stay and pet the goat all day long, and wasn't too interested with the other animals after. I think the goat liked him as equally as they became instant friends thus meaning Cameron naturally having a fit when it was time to go.
Next we have Brittany and Cameron looking at the goats and lambs ... then Brittany bent down and had one jump up onto her back - how neat she thought that was ! Britt says the goat was eating her hair !
Okay next we have "freak goat". Now normally I love all animals but THIS one wouldn't stop staring at me with his slanty eyes and it was freakin me out ! So, naturally I had to take a picture of it !
Next we have the only other animals that Cameron would pay attention to after that goat gave him all that friendship ...lol. It was a calf who cameron insisted on trying to feed hay too, luckily - the calf ate it right up !
Brittany and Hannah wanna look too !
Cameron rides a pony .... which of cousre the girls just had to snap pictures of him 100 times of ! (but here is one)
Well, we saw some other animals too, like wild turkeys and some bull's as well as some donkeys and more horses, but before we left for the evening Cameron just had to go say goodbye to his goat friends.
Bye Bye friend !
A really nice picture of a sunset on the way back "home" to the KOA .... (Hmmmmm, wonder who I was thinking of while I took this ????? Could it be Windi ????) Anyway ... no wonder they are called the Black Hills ! What a nice picture we thought !
Well everyone, that is all for day one of our trip, I will be back tommorrow to share tons more and if I get motivated I just might do a slideshow .... lordy, I had better with all the pictures that we have ... in my addiction of photo taking now I managed to snap over 200 pictures, soooooo, I suppose even to share the best ones, a slideshow would work better than this. I still like the 360 better for pictures tho, on myspace it isn't as good, so I hope that you all enjoy - it seems more personal here and you get to know ppl better .... So I like it more !
Well, hope that you all have agreat night ! :O)
TAMMIE
