When I was about 6 (picture) ..... Back around 1980 or abouts is the best time that I can remember, so now with going on 5 children of my own, I thought it would be fun to show and discuss with them and whoever else is interested the FUNNNNNN things that I did as a child to pass the time ... and what better way than to show some pictures of all the fun things that I remember !
Well, first ... I will start with my fave toy in the world, I was more a tomboy than a girly girl, so HOT WHEELS were a definite top of my list !
One of my other fave toys was a BIG WHEEL .... Didn't eeryone have one of these, and gee, I think it was the exact colors as this one in the pic. Of course I no longer have mine - are you kidding I rode that thing till the front wheel caved in with holes and thumped everywhere U went !
This was the first toy that I remember having ... a fisher price happy apple !
OOOh, another fave of mine was the awesome sets of STAR WARS action figures ...Oh, c'mon who didn't have atleast one ? I think all girls had Le'a !
Sesame Street Clubhouse an easy fave of mine when I was like 4 ...wow do I remember this one !
Well, having one sister who is exactly 10 years to the day older than I, meant that this toy that I recieved for Christmas one year was one that I can remember always caused a fight between us !
Holy cow, for some reason I can remember playing with this "tree tot's" toy for hours. The little people fit nicely into other cars or trucks that I had. I wish I knew what happened to all my toys over the years ......
OOOOOOOOOOOOH ... Weebles Wobble and they don't fall down. I had a haunted house and a Disney Magic Kingdom set ....they were so much fun !
NOW .... a good smelly doll for girls to have and really the only dolls that I liked ever were Strawberry Shortcakes .... and yes, I do STILL have mine and my girls play with them now.
Ahhhh, a few things to play with while at Grandma's house when my cousins weren't there .... who can forget Tinkertoys or Lincoln Logs ....what fun !
and who could forget the colorforms ... the Raggedy Ann one was what my Grandma had for us kids......
Well when my cousin's Gary and Nikki were at my Grandma's house - Gary who was more like my brother to me and I ALWAYS got a kick out of HE - MAN's .... oh, my the fun we had torturing Nikki's "My little Pony's" collection with these ! How I miss those times !
This is also a small tribute to Gary because he was killed in Marana, AZ (Tucson) almost three years ago while riding his bicycle to work one early morning, a lady hit him from behind, claiming that she never saw him. GARY I SOOOOOO MISS YOU ! :o)
next ...you'll see what everyone had I'm sure .... a Rubik's Cube !
Ahhh, of the like one or two Barbies that I had, I remember these ones ....
and a fun game, the only game that I can actually remember playing more than just every so often.
AND DUHHHHHHHHHHHH, THE ALMIGHTY ATARI !
My fave games on this were Kaboom, Pole Position, Frogger, Pong (ha ha), and a few others - but I can't remember anymore ..... Yeeeesh !
Well - those are the toys of the pictures that I could actually find ... sure fun times were had - and ALOT outside with toys I have no idea what they were, we just played with anything we found sometimes ....
Being a kid was great ... up at dawn and out the door, playing all day ----- ahhh, now that was the life !
NOW..... this is what I like to do ...if I can find the time !

Who would have thought that - THAT would seem FUN ....GOD, I HAVE gotten old !
Alright THAT'S IT !!!!! I'm gonna go play now - r u kidding me, who wants to sit and do laundry ??! !
