I think I have to get outside. I can't wait till spring. A vacation might be needed or something. Funny thing is - this winter is not nearly as bad as a few others in the past and I haven't complained quite so much, but I guess it still is getting to me anyway. I have done a good job fighting it though - after all - it is January 15th and this is my first real blech sort of blog about it all.
Eh, oh well. I guess everyone has thier times - right ?! Monday starts a new week and hopefully I will be back on the ball to get some stuff done. I hate not getting much done, it makes me feel useless.
ON TO OTHER THINGS ...
Got a note from the town the other day about spring time and how they plan to tear the holy hec out of our road and tear up the sidewalks, curbs and cut down all trees. What a mess it is going to be. UGH. I mean, I know we rent now (which I still hate) - but we do plan on staying here unless we get some offer to leave (I wish) and as a part of our agreement we work on this place as a part of rent. Front porch needed to go anyway, so being that it will coincide it will be kinda nice. I just dont see the point to cutting all the neighborhoods trees down ! That seems kinda dumb to me, but otherwise, I guess I just get happy over weird things.
Brittany cleaned out her room the other day to kinda "ensure" we knew she was ready to go get her Hedgehog. SIGH.... I told he next week most likely though, I want to be sure we have all the necessary things that you need for the little critter. I also told her SHE was taking care of it, as it always seems it is me that takes care of the animlas we get. I don't mind cats, but the puppy was as bad as a child - or worse, so I won't do that again !
I put up my Valentines day decor .. and had bought a bag of candy hearts at WalMart and THOUGHT they were like the old ones, but they tasted like soap, I used some to decorate with and gave the rest to the kids. I thought it looked pretty good, but I think it might be a tad early. Oh well. it got done, so whatever.
Well, I gotta go sweep the basement up and clean up the kitchen and if I can muster enough energy push the button on the Dishwasher and the washer and dryers to make them work. LOL.

It was in the mid 20s here this morning so a friend and I got outside to walk. The fresh air felt good....I grew up in Wisconsin so I know what you are going through as far as winter, but I am at a point in my life that I kind of like the winter. I love the snow and as long as it is over 20* I am happy.

ReplyDeleteIf your village is tearing up all the trees, I sure hope they will plant new ones. You're so festive decorating for Valentine's Day! I should do this too, but I probably will just wait for Easter and then decorate again.

ReplyDeleteThank you - I took down the Christmas things and it was just SOOO bare around here. I used to like to do it alot more, this is the first year I have in a long time.
Kat - the weather hasn't really been that bad up here this year. Probably in the 5 of my being here it is the best, so really I shouldn't complain. I think the years past SEEMED so much more worse because of not having propane at the other house so much.... it was ALWAYS such a worry and stress factor !

ReplyDeleteI also like your valentines decorations, I have to put some up this week. I never knew you could have a hedgehog as a pet, it be very interesting. My dd wants another dog but I said no, one is enough right now. If we ever have to move I don't want a new landlord saying we can't have animals.
Cindy, I am thankful that we have a LL that lets us do whatever as long as we take care of the house.

But anyways...I luv luv luv your Valentine decorations...I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that decorates for it!!...Hehe! I have 2 light up Hearts I got last year to put in the front windows..lol....I'll have to show u pic.s when I put em' up. I like how you did your window...gave me some ideas. AS far as the weather...after we got out of that Deep Freeze...it's been like Springtime for like a week now. Have actually even been able to open the windows some!! In January!!!...lol Hope you have a nice weekend!
