Just some thougths for today. (Yea, so what it is Monday, I can have thoughts on Monday too! )
1) Went to the doc this morning ..... not far, but cold as antarctica outside. Brrr. Get inside and was told to come back tommorrow, doc was already booked for today. I am feeling a little better, which is good anyway.
2) Thinking I MIGHT do my Christmas cards today.
3) Haven't even bought anything for Christmas yet. I hate it, but what can ya do ? We've done PALENTY of looking though and that is kinda fun, but just not the same. I wish WalMart still had Layaway, but unfortunately they don't care about the people they started caring about when they first opened anymore.)
4) We DO have a butt load of things to take to the pawn shop though. I would like to do it tonight, but who knows. We need money, so I got all of our Video games, dvd's, Tv's and players and what not. Adam has some tools and Cd's. Hopefully we will get some moolah to buy atleast one gift for someone.
5) Landlord came by last night, talked a few and asked us to clean a house for him. We said we would, even though it is for hardly any money, but at this point any is better than none... even the bonus is already gone to bills that had to be paid or get shut off, 'ya know. I hate this year.
6) Got all the outside holiday decor done last night, it looks okay. Used what we had from the other house mainly, did buy one thing though. I still would like to put a strand of lights around the door, but didn't have time, we didn't get done till late and it was sooo cold ! I will put the pix up later sometime.
7) It took me near 2 hours to warm up last night after coming in !
8) Hoping to get the INSIDE things done this weekend, if we aren't cleaning that house.
9) I think I am going to throw a BIG New Years party ...um, even though I don't know anyone around here ...lol. I am just sooooooooooo ready for this year to be over already !!! No kidding from January first till now it has sucked !
9) Gracie is being such a tyrant today .. tearing out everything in her path and running amok throughout the house.
10) Think I had better go.. I got MORE :O( laundry to do, it is time for lunch, and I have to make another grocery list...and MAYBE do the cards too !

#4 ~ AMEN to Walmart not caring about those that they did in the beginning. I think it's AWFUL and don't shop there now unless I absolutely have to. We do have Kmart here and they still do layaway.

I read a month or so ago, how a bunch of the big companies were going to bring layaway back this year because of the economic issues, but I haven't been in a single store that has... It's silly really. I think layaway is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm mostly done with the shopping. Since we are barely buying for anyone this year, it's been pretty easy. But Matt did come in this morning and tell me that we need to cut our spending to pretty much nothing. He's getting pretty worried about what's going to happen after the Year is up...
I haven't even started.. I would like to be able to get the kids SOMETHING to look forward to under the tree, they get so excited.

The closest Kmart to us is well over 60 miles away. Not very economical when I have to save gas. I did think about going there, but decided against it, cuz what if I couldn't pick it all up. lol.

I have my cards all addressed just need to put my messages in them and sign them!! Hope you'll be able to get to the doctors tomorrow!! Yeah on getting the outside done now make sure you take a picture!! Yeah the layaway! I used that every year for Christmas and then for the kids birthdays or for summer clothes. Kmart still has one and we still have one here but it's not the greatest!! Hope your night will be good! Hugs to you
