Well it is stupidbowl night and we aren't watching. (We would be at the evening church services we normally go to, but they cancelled it because the superbowl was on) We do NOT watch football here and my kids didn't want to play games like I suggested instead they are replaying the Goofy Movie an watching it over and over, laughing at it. They figured out how to chop and paste movie bits together on the computer and have made funnies out of it. Ah well, so I will write a blog instead I guess. :O)
Most of the week, I kept busy doing cleaning and organizing. Trying to piddle away what seems to be this endless winter grudge. Being stuck inside is really starting to take a toll on all of us making us cranky. I know this is usual up here, but that doesn't mean that I like it. I have gone out for a brief walk a few times, but I sure don't like cold ... sigh, wish spring would hurry.
I have a very odd sore/abcess (?) on the roof of my mouth. (I know ya''ll were dyin' to know that !) It is making eating anything other than applesauce pretty hard. It hurts sooo bad. It isn't tooth related so I don't think I would have to go to the dentist, but I feel silly going to the doctor. I just dont know what it is, it is hurting to swallow. My hypocondriatic self says it is mouth cancer or something and my jaw will have to be sawed off and I'll be left looking even worse then I do now... HAHA... I know, I know !
Friday we went and found REAL candy hearts, one of my fave candies and got SmokeyBones a few toys and a new litter box that has steps into it ... haha. (He is spoiled) The boys all got hair cuts and I also finally went and got myself some new Nikes. Wow, that was the worst 5 minutes of my life ! I hate shoe shopping. But I figure that if I wanted new shoes it had to be done. Once a year I can handle I suppose. My kids are making fun of me though because I walked in grabbed a pair, tried them on then said "We're done here" ... why, I don't know, but they find that hysterical. Weird.
Saturday the day was pretty bad to start off with. Adam, my husband has alot of "demons" he is working though and that made it NOT so swell. The evening though turned out REALLY well though ! The kids and I went down to the Dells and checked out the new mall that was built. They are so exstatic now that we have an Abercrombie and a Disney Store near us. (Not 2 hrs. away at the Mall of America) Cameron found a Build -A- Bear and was so happy to get TEDDY new clothes ! LOL.. ya'll know he is his best friend !!! We also found alot of other neat things as well. We ate dinner at the Cracker Barrel (my fave place) and that HIT the spot, and I love driving and being able to spend that time with the kids !!!! Wish I could do that so much more !!!
We are planning another time to go down again, when we get the tax $ we always give the kids money to buy new clothes/shoes and that is where they want to go... don't bother me though .. I do love the drive. :O) It would be nice to stay at the Great Wolf or Kalahari again while we do that though, but we'll have to wait and see.
So this next week I hear we are supposed to get up to 12 more inches of snow ... SIGH ... so I will have to be more innovative to pass the time. Schooling is going slow, the kids just want to get out and they feel so stagnant being indoors. I was thinking maybe going to the Childrens meuseum or swimming might help, but I don't really care to drive in snow in the van we have, so it is almost like a catch 22 or something. Gahhh, blahhhhh. :O( Hmmmm, well I will think of something !
Well, I guess I should go for now ... I have run out of things to say. :O) Shocked ? I know :OP
