THURSDAYS 13 THOUGHTS (The Early Edition)

1) Here it comes !!!! hehehe ... I didn't blog Wednesday.... Duntyaknow !? LOL.

2) Just kidding, actually I am blogging basically because I can't sleep (It's 1 am as I write this) .... I am bored and I am fighting off the urge to barf. Somehow,  this is taking my mind off of it.

3) I just got done watching this show on the Discovery Health channel about a little girl named 'Hayley Okines' from Britain (below with you know who). She has Progeria ... and Oh emmm geee, my hormones wanted to get the best of me and I kept wanting to cry. She is such a beautiful little girl and I just don't get why something like that has to happen to innocent children.

4) This of course made my brain stir. Why if the disease (Progeria) is one that mutates genes into thinking that the body is actually older, WHY THEN can they not find this particular gene or what would mutate the gene to begin with and try to fix it ? WHY is it that the government can't seem to afford to give to worthy causes like this or others to help, INSTEAD of wasting it to money grubbing car companies and banks that don't even remember what they do with the funds ? WHY is it that, if they COULD find this gene, they in fact can't see what could slow it down  - or even in any case ... take on findings that just might in fact reverse the signs of aging in everyone ??? Afterall the gene mutates into making a childs body "think" it is older .. why can't they make it think opposite to where the body doesn't grow old fast ... BUT SLOW ! CAN YOU IMAGINE ?!

5) I plan on reading more, yeeeea, that's me. I have too many questions for my own good.

6) OKAY ... just a tad bit of BAD news.  Adam came home yesterday and told me that they have reduced everyones pay. ACK ! It was this, or chose to be let go. Naturally he chose the reduction. SIGH. But I am not worried .. yet. I mean I do believe we can get by, but there are going to need to be some things done. They said if things don't improve in the long run though, they will have to be letting some go.

7) Which that thought brings me to my LL (landlord) With the given news, we CANNOT afford the rent that he has us set at. Adam and I talked about it last night and even though we hate it, we are going to ask him whether or not he will think about reducing our rent, or we will have to find another place for the time being. Weird thing is though that he was supposed to be over here on the 21st, and he never showed .. no word, no nothing .. and I still can't get a hold of him, nor have I told him of the vandals or water at the house of his we are cleaning and painting for him. I sure hope that everything is ok, I worry about people, and usually he is there when he says he is going to be. SIGH.

8) Soo, with us wanting to get out of here and wanting to have the phones back on - in an effort to do so, having separate water, electic, gas and internet bills now that we live in town - along with old medical bills and bills from the other house we are still paying off, Things are just becoming tighter and tighter everyday ... Adam asked a few places in town if they were hiring and the flat out truth is a resilient NO and we no longer have any savings .. I know, I worry way too much, but this is becoming scary now.

9) Alright enough of that ... We got a gift card from my Mom for Christmas (yes she sends everything late) so after I took the girls to thier piano lesson last night,  I went to the store  while Adam and Jordan went to clean and paint that house. I got some food, soda and Pizza for dinner. I also got the movie "FIREPROOF". When I got back I took a nice relaxing shower and then started feeling heartburn and queeziness. My "morning sickness" has turned into "evening sickness" ... every night around 7 I feel yucky, so needless to say I had very little pizza and didn't watch the movie. I still feel yucky and my tummy is all rumbly. I know it will go away soon, it always does, but it just is NO fun !!!

10) Of course reading this article, made me feel sick too !

11) I have been debating whether or not I should do the "25 Things" blog ya'll are passing around, but I haven't made up my mind yet. So many of ya, I think already know everything ! :O)

12) When I took my shower, I did sit and think of things I could write for it though.. obsessed much am I ? LOL ! I really have no idea why sometimes my brain is thinking of what I could blog about while I should be relaxing !!!! For crying out loud !

13) HAHA.. the Golden Girls just came on, so I think I will go and watch it, besides I am out of things to say and my eyes keep watching the TV. I do like that show alot.. that dang Rose is hilarious !

HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY EVERYONE !

  2. Damn it posted before I was finished. Bah.

I wrote down 1 thing for the 25 things yesterday. Maybe I'll do a 1 things post.

There is so much depression all over the place. I feel lucky to still have a job even though I'm not at it right now. It hurts. Tightening the belts. I've thought of letting my car go back just so we can have extra (extra?) money. But I'm so close to paying it off...

There are no jobs out there. The economy sucks and if they don't do something about it soon we are all going to be very poor middle class people.

  4. The economy problems have just began to hit a little where we live. It is scary. I am thankful that my husband makes food ( pasta and cheese at that ) and not cars or TV's or something!

  9. My heart broke for that poor man! Its easy to blame the city but I think everyone failed him, including his neighbors and extended family. He was old enough people should have been checking on him everyday.

I hope you're feeling better soon. Pizza doesn't sound like such a good idea if your stomach is bothering you, but guess what you've got me craving now!

  11. eww...for evening sickness...or morning sickness..or midday sickness..... just ewww...

I hope that everything works out for Adam and work. That stinks about the pay. It kind of worries me when Matt finishes up his classes and seriously starts looking for work. So many people in his line of work are looking so it's not going to be easy for him to find something, you know? It really looks like his best bet is to go back to truck driving, which will keep him away from home for days on end. Speaking of England Trucking Company is hiring. And they are willing to train drivers. You should have Adam check that out. Here's the website: http://www.crengland.com/
