BACK TO SCHOOL DAY
SIGH..... it is that time of year again. Time for school schedules and fall. OOOOOOOH .... wait a minute .. someone forgot to tell mother nature that fall should be here today. Atleast someone should have mentioned that the temps in the 90's we no longer necesarry. Ok ... So call me a BIG spoiled brat.. but this "new" place does NOT have an air conditioner ... OMG ! I AM GOING TO DIE ! DIE !!!!! ... this is TOTALLY inhumane peoples ! CRAZYILY barbaric and some form of punishment ... or torture tactic. So as of this point I AM GOING to get an air con if it is the last thing I do ! So anyway ... my kids are back in school ... the silence is nice yet at the same time unsettling .. I am not used to it. and to still make matters worse a schedule is hard to adhere to momentarily because things are still strewn about and waiting for other things to get done. Like I wanted my wall border up before I hung things and it is an old house with stupid plaster walls.. so I want to be sure im not knocking a hole the size of texas into it. sigh. So needless to say, with A working an extra huge buttload of overtime right now ... not a lot is getting done. So perhaps if you hear of a fat lady who went insane and crawled into her refrigerator for comfort .... yea, that would be me ! Hope you all have a great day everyone ! TAMMIE :O)

Matt and I were supposed to have the whole day to ourselves today, and then Tradewind called and begged him to do a truck run to Columbus today....so it's just me. Ah well, I got some stuff I can do......

Oh man, hang in there. We've been back to school since August 13th..it felt like we didn't have any summer!

Awww, man it IS hot out but I hear tomorrow it's supposed to cool off. I know, it doesn't help today but at least tomorrow will be better....
ReplyDeleteAwww that sucks big time that you don't have air. Once you have it you really get spoiled. It's hot here today too. Hopefully Fall gets here soon.

ReplyDeleteHere's some tips to your from someone who just spent a week without a/c (they fixed it today)...open windows early morning..put fans in window and blow in cool air ..do this at night too! When the temp gets up there, shut your windows..having them open only makes the room the same temp as outside. Take cool showers..and have fans blowing from all directions! Drink lots of ice water..and I used ice packs on the back of my neck to cool me off. Lastly..get a a/c unit asap! lol!

It's 90 degrees here right now..glad they got my a/c fixed.
ReplyDeleteUGH! I feel bad for you with no air. It was like our house yesterday. It was Hotter then a Mo Fo yesterday over here and we never turned the air on. I was sitting and sweating. Groess!!!
ReplyDeleteYAY for the kids getting back into school, slowly you will love every minute of it. I know, it seems so weird to sit here earlier with only two kids, 2 at the lunch table and so on. Weird I tell ya!!! LOL
Hopefully everything is coming along with the new house! I cant wait to see pics!!!!

ReplyDeleteoooooh girl :( I know how know a/c feels and that is NO good. I hope you can find a cheap window unit or something..that would help out so much..yeah its going to be 90 here on Thursday. I told Nick to watch that as soon as school started it would be summer temps again...sho enough here its putrid hot :(

You could just stand in front of the fridge/freezer with the door open like I am continually finding Avery...he swears it works! lol ;)

The fridge sounds like a great place to get some comfort (food) hehehe.
ReplyDeleteYou can get some of those wall anchor screws, so that your plaster walls will actually hold the stuff you want to hang.
Yesterday was so hot. Although I am sure today will be also, it sure is chilly early in the morning!
PS. As for no AC, just keep reminding yourself that this won't last, and before you know it, we'll be commiserating about the stupid winter!!

Hey, I've been known for sticking my head in the fridge to cool down when the heat gets to high. lol

Hey Tammie...use some packing tape (the clear kind), put a decent size piece, mabye 2x2inches and then nail the hole in that. Will cut down on huge holes.
