2) Gracie is being really clingy today. Don't want me to set her down at all. I was thinking about going upstairs to clean the environmental disaster that's up there, but guess it will have to wait.
3) Cameron was playing with Play-Doh all yesterday afternoon, and now I am noticing little pieces of it - just about everywhere. Grrrrr.
4) I'm having no luck potty training him AT ALL - he won't sit still long enough to do anything and he don't like to tell me. Why was it so easy with my others ? Maybe I really should have done this a long time ago ! .... Like this morning, I tell him it is time to change his Pull Up - (he likes them cuz they have Disney's Cars on them) ... he says "car, car, car - no, no, no". then runs away. So I say "yes, yes, yes". ARRRRRgh, what a battle.
5) Cameron is in such a need of a hair cut .... grrrr, but again the little maniac - mad man won't be still long enough ! It's all over this morning and looks like a bush on his head !
6) Hannah was doing so much better yesterday and in the evening back to herself again ... so I sent her to school today. I am still worrying lots tho. :O(
7) Speaking of school ... I am still pretty ticked that the kids' spring break was cancelled because of all the snow days. I had planned to go visit my B & SIL in Adrian, MI, as well as meet up with Windi ... but I had to change it. What if I had - had plans that cost alot of money - like going to Disney or something ? Grrrr - it makes me mad - why should the kids be punished ? What harm would it do to have it anyway ? Geeeze, let them be kids while they are kids !
8) I should have gone anyway ! I soooo need out of here !!!!!
9) Am I the only one on this planet whose never had a Girls Night Out ? I mean, I have been 'out', but not just with girls or with friends - the hubby has always been there. What fun it sounds like !!!! I guess I need friends to do that though --- errrrr, can't take my computer "out"....all my friends are on it ! LOL !
10) Hmmm, didn't think I had anywhere close to ten thoughts - funny how that works ! Oh well, I'm off to read some people's blogs, (hopefully)get Gracie to sleep, vaccuum, do laundry and if I am realllly lucky - I might get upstairs today !!! Pray - because that will be quite the task ! I'd better get a mask and gloves, no telling what I may find !!!!!! :oD LOL !

#4 - When Buggy was in Early Intervention for his speech, they were also trying to help me potty train him. They suggested the 7/60 method. I'd never heard of it and didn't try it 'cause it was too cold out...but with spring/summer right around the corner, it may work for you! Are you ready for this?
ReplyDeleteSeven days with just putting him in underwear, no pull ups (except at night). He'll pee himself for sure...that is where the 60 comes in...put away $60 to rent a carpet cleaner!!! How funny is THAT?! (and I hear it works too!)

Girl, I haven't had a girls night in ages! YEARS! I haven't really made any close friends in Michigan. Well, I made one, but things kinda went sour and now I don't really have any. If you plan a trip to MI, make sure I'm in it!
ReplyDeleteThat really sucks your kids don't get spring break! I remember missing so many days of school back when I was in school, we had to go on Saturdays for like a month. IT sucked! I guess it's either now or at the end of the school year. It still stinks!
There is no playdoh allowed in my house! For THAT reason!
ReplyDeleteI don't even know what a girls night out is!!!! It's part of the reason that I'm really trying to hard to go to this benefit of Stacey's. Not only to be able to support her in this way, but also the chance to have a night out on my own!!
Calvin was hard potty training too. It got to be a huge battle between us,and I even called mom in tears over it. She told me to sit him down, explain to him that I really didn't care if he ever potty trained or not, and that I wasn't going to bug him about it any more. So I did exactly that. And when he went, I would change him and never say a word about it. Not ONE word. a week later he was fully potty trained!!!!

I used to like the way play-doh smelled. And I liked squishing it and rolling it around. I also liked the colors. I also liked the silly putty stuff. I guess I just like squooshing things.
ReplyDeleteMy kids use play-doh at the table, on cardboard. That is IT. BUT..if you like to play with play-doh and hate the mess...look into Crayola Model Magic. You can do all like play-doh, and no little pieces laying around to grind into your carpets!!

ReplyDeleteThose poor kids, they need breaks too just like adults. While I think school is very important I also think they need time off to or they will get burned out and not do as well. Here in Australia they only get 6 weeks off for summer but they get two weeks off between each term. I like it so much better that way.

ReplyDeleteI can't belive they canceled spring break!!! Ours isn't until the 28th..........and they are calling for more snow next week............They have canceled school one day here..........and then they sent then home early for ice but that's all:P
ReplyDeleteOh that is terrible that they canceled spring break! Ugh!! I am so sorry! Ugh on hubby too! Why is that men do that! They can be mad at you for no reason all day and then wake up the next morning like nothing happen and were just suppose to forget all about it! I have had to deal with that many times and that's one of the things I was dealing with this past week when I wasn't talking to hubby!! I never get a girls night out or any nights out really by myself. Going to hubby's gigs I get away but then I am surrounded by people I really don't know and who could care less. I get to listen to all there whines and if I say one word I feel like I am boring them or they just don't care and why am I speaking. So I just listen. When I do go out I aways seem to have one of the kids with me. So you are not alone my friend. I wish I had friends to hang out with. It would be so fun if a bunch of us on 360 and here could get together and hang out!! I hope your night is going good and sweet dreams! Hugs

I cant believe they cancelled Spring break! That really doesnt seem fair. If the kids hadnt missed much sick time from school I think i would just go!!!

i know what you mean about a girls night out! I would so love to have someone to go dancing with sometimes! Nick hates dancing AND the bar scene. The last time i went out and had fun was about 2 years ago at my sisters house!

I had a girls night out once... wasn't that big of a deal really. I was much younger, before Andre. We went clubbing, not really for me. Even back then I was mainly a home body. Hope all is well with ya'll. Did I miss something??? Why is Adam PMSing???

Well glad your Hubby is in a better mood. Guess he was just having one of those days! It has rained like crazy here! Looks like a lake out back! And there's more coming.
