Hello again .. thought I would take a sec today to tell you all about my guys first day of school here.
(First I must appologize because I had pic's, I am just to dopey to figure out how to work them on this new computer, so I will have my hubby deal with it. I am not very patient, I tried to download all my old stuff onto this one from the disks that Best Buy gave me and it wouldn't work, so I must be doing something wrong.)
Anyway, My day - yesterday - was very slow, I literally took it "off" and did next to nothing all day, I had a headache and just enjoyed the time, I know that won't be an everyday thing, so I took advantage of it. Cameron ended up sleeping till 1:30 in the afternoon from when he crawled up onto the sofa and after that I took him to Burger King and got a burger and played at the playground they have there. It was really hot here yesterday, so the park was out !!! Then after that we went to pick up Hannah at school she was very excited about her first day, telling me all about her teacher Ms. Lee and all the things that she had done. Her teacher is brand new this year and I swear she looks like a kid to me, but she does seem really nice ... for now. I am sure after a few days with all the squaking kids she'll seem more like me !!! lol !
After that, we went to the middle school to pick up Brittany - she too was excited to tell me all about her teachers and her classes, how she really didn't care too much for her math teacher and that the computer teacher was kinda rude. How most of her friends were on the other 7th grade team instead of hers and that she couldn't wait till sports started. She had the same teachers that Jordan had in 7th grade and said they all remembered him - which to her dismay, was not a good thing ! Her reading teacher - Mrs. Larson really liked Jordan and still has a picture of him, so I told her that being that she was Jordan's fave teacher she shouldn't be so scared of her, but she wasn't too happy that she got homework on the first day from her. I really don't think kids should have homework, if I was a teacher, I wouldn't give any. Kids are kids ... and work is for when you are old - plenty of time for that - they are only kids for so long. But then again, that IS just me ! I know, I know I am odd !
After hearing all the "gossip" from Britt about her day - we went on to the high school to get Jordan, he didn't have too much to say other than that his teachers "seemed" okay, some of his friends had moved over the summer and that he got his pictures of Jeff Gordon and Tim McGraw hung up in his locker as well as the all important Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood ones .... He didn't bring any homework home and said he had a headache, so immeadiately when we came home he went to lie down ... I know High school, must be so exausting !!!
But for some reason that seemed to be the whole consensus for last night - for some reason - I don't know if we were all still pooped from the weekend, if it was the heat, or what - but we all were just so wiped out !!! The kids have been on school bedtime here for about a month, so it couldn't be that they were too tired, unless they didn't sleep well. (which if they are like me, I get so nervous before a big thing and can't sleep either) so that may be it too. We had all decided to have a lazy dinner last night of BLT's and chips. Adam actually made it all and cleaned up to for me too, quite unusual, but nice !!!! (I was going to make taco's which I guess I will make tonight instead.) after that we just chilled out and watched some TV, I chose to watch the DALE movie on CMT for the guys instead of my Steve Irwin program, but it will be on again sometime. I was pretty bummed, but it really isn't that big of a deal I guess. I can compromise too and what goes around will come around. So ... for once I was nice. Hmmmmm. The movie was okay though, although I didn't expect it to be documentary like more or less. Man, it really made me realize how much I really miss watching the race's with Earnhardt at the wheel. I was not a fan of his, but yet I liked him, I grew up watching him and he was great to heckle about him sucking compared to Gordon the almighty !!! Racing will just never be the same without him - that is for sure !
Also, last night MY awesome DOCTOR , Dr. Schanhofer - ( my doc here in town - he's a GP ) calls me out of the blue on my cell - JUST TO MAKE SURE I am doing OKAY ?!?!?!? WOW.... I was truly stunned ... I have never had a doctor do that - see, I told you all that was WHY I liked him so much !! - we talked for about 15 minutes about everything, even the kids going back to school, man, I wish every doctor was so nice !!!! I sometimes think he is the only "normal" person around here, I wish he could be my doctor FOREVER !!!!!!!
Well anyway .... I guess I should go for now, I need to clean up now that Cameron has every toy down here of his, all over the living room, I have a load of laundry to do and need to make lunch ... so I hope that you all have a good day !!! I will return tommorrow with more tales of woe and boredom from my lonely household !!!! LOL ... only about two hours till the kids come home !!!! YAY !!! :o) I know, I am weird - so shoot me !!!! :O) Have a great day everyone !!!!! :O)
TAMMIE
